Living in the fast lane/skip the queue kepala bana.

Feels just so normal. The mall itself is small and not up to par with others. Only good for those nearby...

problem with most local cinema operators outside of Klang valley they know nuts about their own system, and any defects/calibration will have to wait for days for their HQ to fix it, especially for those in East Malaysia. Most halls in those cinemas will have bad speakers or out of calibration projectors after a few months. My experience with both MBO, TGV and GSC here in Kuching, first 3 months the halls will have one of the best experience in town, but after 3 months or more, problems start cropping out, faulty speakers, dirty stained seats, ghosting effects, and with my most recent trip to the newest cinema TGV Vivacity, IMAX halls center speakers were defective, not as clear and loud as it should be from what I watch few weeks back. 3D-X hall also is a mess, movie screened with bad ghosting, complaint both cases to the staff there, and they told me the movie came in like that

Something new keeps popping out once a year or two. Healthy competition should be keeping cinemas alive! Sounds scary to go for a movie there now... Hehe Anyone on the new TGV velocity, Cheras? TGV is the cinema Air Asia. The cost lies in little things.
You want an already expensive normal pop corn combo? Oh sorry, now we only sell promotion combo which comes with this are-you-fucking-kidding-me design tumbler combo and charge you more than double.

I remembered watching CA : Civil War in 3D MAXX ATMOS format. GSC BTS MAXX hall.
Feels like watching IMAX but about rm10 cheaper. Yeah i know that the hall was once an IMAX theatre but why GSC don't bring any 3D movies in MAXX resolutions anymore?

I swear I didn't know it existed, such format. I watched Star Trek Into the Darkness and Star Wars Ep7 in BTS GSC Maxx. I prefer putting my extra money on a super-clear IMAX screen and it's strong bass. Maxx feels like a stretched screen that ends up reducing pixelation of films. Gosh I miss the old 70mm IMAX in BTS.

I really wish we have IMAX Laser & Dolby Cinema soon in Malaysia. At the moment IMAX or Atmos is my choice but still not good enough if compare to those two. sigh.....

Whats the family friendly hall like? Do they leave the lights on and kids are able to run around? The IMAX in Sunway Velocity is said to be the biggest in Malaysia. Not sure if they're referring to the hall or screen. Anyone tried it?

Looks like MBO is upping the game by bringing in 4D. They also have a family friendly hall with a playground. Not sure if their screen in the Big Screen hall is bigger than GSC's Maxx though. MBO Cinemas introduces Malaysia's first 4D motion seats

Not sure if their screen in the Big Screen hall is bigger than GSC's Maxx though. MBO Cinemas introduces Malaysia's first 4D motion seatsHey guys, movie buffs, cinema lovers, etc, big news! The new MBO Starling's big screen is super awesome. Its the best non-IMAX/normal hall in Malaysia, hands down. Pricing at RM21-22, it has super screen clarity, powerful bass, comfortable VIP seats with headrests, huge screen and good surround (Dolby Atmos). The only downfall is, the aspect ratio of films does not utilize the full screen. Quite a portion of the top and bottom part of the screen is blank! I hope MBO can rectify it by getting a different format reel for their big screen. They also have MX4D, Kecil and Premier halls. Hoping for someone to review it. No time and money to check them out yet
