Sound quality wise nothing beats a THX hall since the sound can even track accross the screen... But i personally find that the new D2D projection systems with a well calibrated projector beats THX interms of visual.
Worse cinema i've been to would be Tropicana City Mall, after a few times i concluded anything there not on digital 2d cant be accepted by me, the tapes are badly stored with scratches and the projectors are not aligned nor properly focused to the canvas. Sound sometimes feel like its constantly switching between 2.1 and 7.1 ... |

ATMOS halls has speakers all over the hall and even on top so you kinda feel like you're in the movie.Also, is Berjaya Times Square MAXX = 2D or 3D? MAXX hall plays both 2D and 3D. No difference from other halls except it has the biggest screen in Malaysia so you might wanna try it at least once. |

Watched Edge of Tomorrow ATMOS 1U and Transformers Age of Extinction at ATMOS Pavillion. They have converted their respective hall 3 into ATMOS surround. My review...it's just too good for our ears.
