The IMAX in Velocity is actually the biggest here. Never got the chance the try it out yet though. I always go to the one in Sunway Pyramid.

Last week all the hype for the new IMAX but suddenly no more news or update

It will be different since IMAX Laser will be so much brighter and it will be just nice for 3D movie.

Usually 3D IMAX movie quite dimm due to the 3D glasses filter most of the brightness from traditional IMAX's Xenon bulbs.

Indeed , now regular IMAX 2D movie already RM32

sometime have to wait for Maybank Promo to get the ticket

but hey, just once in the blue moon , not every month gonna watch IMAX 3D .. so just enjoy the movie.
After all, the movie is intended to watch in 3D ...

No fucking way an IMAX ticket like that would cost RM65, actually RM80 for the normal rate.

Considering the screen looks to be 1.9:1 with single laser projector and 12 audio source, the more than 2x the price of adult IMAX tickets is for what? Luxury food and more comfortable seats? I guess for this is targeted at the niche audience of couples wanting a luxury, romantic date but with IMAX? Even then, technical specs wise, you're still getting the same experience from TGV, even GSC'S IOI City Mall's IMAX Laser (granted, this hall is half the audio channels, but the screen is still 1.9:1 and modestly large). As you said, @megakeygen_zero, it's not even the largest, let alone a 1.43:1 one, and for that price premium!

I need some first party measurements of the screen, dude. Second largest while being more than twice the price of the normal rates is obscene for what it currently offers technical specs wise.

But I notice that the ticket price for Velocity is RM 35 but it's RM 20 for other places like 1U and Pavilion BJ.

It was RM 20 for the Oppenheimer rerun. Are they now taking advantage of the fact that they have the biggest screen at Velocity?

Okay booked Dune at Velocity, cant wait to experience it while tahan that blue light emmiting frm the walkway
