There is no best phone here. It all depends on your needs and what you wish in the phone. Those who adamantly said iphone 5 is better or Note 2 is better is definitely being fan boys. There are pros n cons in both phones. Decide which phone meet your NEEDS better and you have your best phone . Put this in a Android site and you would see the opposite response to the survey
Just read the following independent web reviews . I will not even consider reviews by obviously pro Apple sites or pro Android sites , which whether you like it or not always tend to be biased
I will also be getting the iphone 5 when it is launched here. I will not pay those ridiculous high prices for those Spore sets. I have used all the iphone series and I do know what are the pros n cons in IOS. When I get the iphone 5 , i will compare it myself with the Note 2 ( which I already have ) and only I, no one else can tell me which is a better phone for my needs. One thing i know for sure the iphone 5 is a very good phone . Just only whether it will meet my needs better than the Note 2

Very detailed and I' d said fair comparison:

To me, it's not iPhone 5 vs GN2. It's just iOS vs Android. No point paying too much attention to the specs as you won't get GN2 with iOS or iPhone 5 with Android.

Besides, you can't say GN2's 1.6Ghz Quad Core is 3.2x faster than iPhone 5's 1.0Ghz Dual Core, because it doesn't work in that way. Same goes to 2GB ram vs 1GB ram; 3100mAh vs 1418 mAh. We have to know that GN2 has 27% higher resolution as compared to iPhone 5, so speaking in a dumb manner, got more things to calculate. So if you wanna compare in respect of specs, please do flex it first. But AFAIK, you can't just flex it like you're doing mathematics. Hey! It's iOS and Android, they can have different way of processing, coding and whatnot.

Notice that there's a topic bout resale value going on. Again, it's unfair to compare the resale value of both directly as they have different starting RRP.

===For Reference Purpose ===

Samsung Galaxy Note N7000
Release Date: Late October 2011 (First)
RRP during launch: RM2299
2nd hand value: RM1200 in average (Just did a rough check in garage sales)
Depreciation per year: RM1099 / 47.80%

iPhone 4S 32GB
Release Date: October 2011 (First, not in Malaysia)
RRP during launch: RM2499
2nd hand value: RM1450 in average
Depreciation per year: RM1049 / 41.98%

Of course there are much more factors that would affect the 2nd hand value, i.e. age of item, condition etc. But based on that 3 y.o. kid calculation I got there, unless RM50 is material for you, else no point talking about resale value.

Moreover, iPhone 5 and GN2, although both are smartphones, have different target audience. Just like MINI Cooper and Camry, both can get you from point A to B, but you just can't say which is better or what, because they are not meant to be for the same target market.

In a nutshell, it's just iOS vs Android. Pick what you like. End of story.

*Not trying to say which is better, just want to say that both are different and you can't compare it.
*
TALK about NOTE2 VS Iphone5. Note2 price AP 1850RM already.

Talking about LTE iphone 5 works on 1800mhz band only while msian telco confirm band is 2600 mhz
None of the telco wants to issue any statements of 1800 mhz possiblity
Even in spore only certain telco n only in certain places the LTE is functional. My son told me he is on 3g /h+ most of the time

Samsung phone is outdated too fast...
it is because of too much production and lack of previous update for phones...

now u buy quad core...
next year already come out exynos 5250 dual core... superior to the quad core...

Duration... < 6 months...

I don't like the idea when new come out the previous phone is left out cause want to promote the new phone... the update is so far long time to wait which s**k .. pfff

So Apple announced the iPad 3 and then removing it from the store 6 months later when they announced the iPad 4, fitted with some updates (A6x, Lightning etc). Does that qualify for the iPad 3 to be outdated as well? Well, as you've said, 6 months.

Heck, when the iPad 4 is announced, they removed the iPad 3 from their online stores. Now, what about the current iPad 3 users who just bought it a month or less before the announcement of iPad 4? How would they feel? Apple is no different from Samsung in terms of leaving consumers behind and producing products too fast after this move.

quality itself isn't and issue here... problem is preference.... Samsung produce too much gadgets they lack all the previous generation products... even thou its < 6 months... as for ipad.. yes I agree so many are on rage because of ipad 4 release... as apple trying to complete whole set of their product for the compatibility of their lighting port...

Question is the quality of ipad itself is not jeopardize as Apple tends to update all their products the same time... and same date.. where as Samsung... only update their flagship phone and its not even at same time.. sometimes it took already 6 month to get a new OS update.... that is why the Samsung quality is lowered as their support for the phone become uber slower when come to updates... for ipad 3... I do agree people rage on it but for quality its much better than previous ipad 2 no?

outdated doesn't mean specs... its both hardware and also software itself.... see how many Samsung phones that are not flagship tends to really get update or doesn't even get update up until now...
