previously im android user but piss off with the OS thn change to iPhone, had 4, 4s n ipad 2.
im really proud to hv iOS device because of the best mobile OS.
but iPhone 5 really disappointed me alot n Galaxy note 2 do impress me.
i'm a heavy user on mobile device. multitasking in note 2 is really a good option.
2GB Ram i think is a minimum for android to run smooth but cant confirm can defeat iOS, i think at least can nearly on par.

so i think i will jump to Galaxy note 2, will wait for apple better product to impress me

erm...im only loyal to a GOOD device which can impress me in term of performance n function...

HAHAH. i have (and had) multiple apple devices but i dont think i need to be LOYAL.

i buy whatever device that suit my needs. it just so happens that apple makes stuff that i like. we dont have to be LOYAL or a fan of apple. cmon guys it's a phone, not a religion.

also it's stupid to say u'd go for any android phone because it has quad core or more RAM or what. it's running a totally different OS. just take ur pick: iOS or android? there's absolutely no point to compare hardware.

For me spec nothing special. In built Feature yes very nice. Unfortunately, third party apps not many optimized for 5.5" screen

i went to a phone shop and try out iphone 5. Look sleek, slim and light. My disappointment were:
1) Doesn't look impressive compare to my iphone4/note 2. No WOW factor.
2) Map is big failure, can't even search for bukit jalil. klcc is located at putrajaya. pavillion is located beside hospital serdang. fuhh. What map is it.
3) The screen itself is a big let down. Yellowish tint to the screen. Contrast/brightness not comparable to note 2.
4) Camera so so only compare to note 2 about the same.
5) OS. hahaha i4, i4s all same interface. Nothing special about it.

Those who would like to upgrade from 4 or 4s to 5 better think twice.

1) People say beauty is in the eye of beholder. But just for the sake of playing your game, I'd say Note 2 is just an elongated Note. No wow factor. (See what I did there?)

2) Lies. Pavilion is located correctly on the iOS 6 Maps.

3) Have fun with the not-so-non-Pentile screen of Note 2. Also, DisplayMate rates iPhone 5 screen as the best smartphone screen they've tested to date.

4) iPhone 5 camera comes with f/2.4 aperture compared to the f/2.6 on Note 2. There are differences, especially for low-light uses.

5) OS. Fast, functional, stable, apps compatibility & optimization. That's far important. I'm not going to lie, getting different interface is all the rage with me for my Android device last time. Finally I'm settled with its stock UI. Eventually you want everything to just works, right?

Those who wanna upgrade to Note 2 also better think twice. In fact, it's very smart and the best thing to do for everybody no matter for which platform. Evaluate your planned upgrade really thorough, and weigh your decision based on what you've researched.

Also, both devices got their own strength. Those what I've lined up above are just comments for the very inaccurate 5 points being listed prior. Not that I'm implying that the device itself doesn't have its own upper hand on other parts or inferior anyway. Just doing some correction btw.

It will not. There is alot of 1st timer ownership out there. Those already using 4 or 4s might not be tempted to i5. Those who are using 3g or 3gs might think about i5.

People 2 rely on google map .. when google map just came out u also not able to find the info you need... Give time for apple to improve the map. Apple just take 1-2 years time only google take how long already ar ..

I think u mean samsung less resale value. Not no resale value. The resale value topic has many angles to it.
1. If you are like Mr xo then iphone is a better proposition
2. If u buy phone and never sell. Coz you just give the old phone to your family members while u indulge in a later model, then android.
3.value for money angle. for example s3 was 2.2k now 1.7k.for a person buying a phone now he saves 500 k. That is he also don't want to re sell. android is a better proposition.
4. If u not chasing for latest and greatest, then android coz u get it cheaper the longer u wait.

That is why iphone has this icon image coz the price don't depreciate much over time

REALLY! note 1 2nd hand selling 700? where? i wanna buy. i've been searching high & low in garage sales nothing come close to that.

Well the iPhone 4s is a few months newer and it did release at a much higher price. It was about 500-700 more than the note 1.

So in the end its about the same. That said being honest, do you even care about resale value? Do you keep buying and reselling phones?

As for the OS discussion, I am not sure what innovation people are talking about but if you compare the iPhone 3G with the latest and greatest iPhone 5, put it side by side. I think you can probably count with your fingers the differences between the two. Hardware and software wise. The simplistic wall of icons used to be awesome well due to it's simplicity when screens were smaller, people were less techy and hardware was limited. In today's world its nothing great.

U dont get is bro. With an iphone 4s i can sell at rm1500 or even 1600 and still thr will be people willing to buy.

With a samsung or htc android, you sell higher than normal, ppl wont even bother to look and will squeeze you dry.

And with allthat quadcore stuff, at the end of the day u use it to facebook, check messages and surf the web. Whats the pointu need so many cores ? How often u play those graphic intense games on ur phone? U wanna play games, get a laptop lah..

And furthermore, most of the apps on android are utter rubbish. Yes they have alot of apps, but i can say 90% of them are rubbish apps .

The i5 might have less firepower, but heck it does everything perfectly. And i can demand more when i wanna sell it off later. My htc one x dropped rm600 in a few months! Ridicolous!

And androids have the tendency to get laggier and laggier as time pass by. When new, sure smooth like jellybean, but after a while will become laggy as with all androids. Even my bros s3 oso lagging now...

there are tons of complaints about the iphone5 battery on Apple website .. sounds terrible..

ello, s3 user here. youtube is hd, my videos are hd, my cameras are hd, my dolphin browser and chrome is hd, my games are hd too ( i don't play lot of games, but the ones i play are ALL hd. subway surfers look just as dashing on my s3 compared to my 2xHD ipad 3). in fact most graphic apps are hd.
