Never really like to use android until note 2

S-voice never use i was using the google one quite accurate for asian compare to iOS
S-pen - Love the handwriting and many commands for shortcuts
Screen - 5.5 inch just nice for me not too big not too small lazy to bring my ipad 3 out
Battery - 3100mah this the first phone i use intensively that able to last me 10 hours on 3G network. moderate can last 1 day , seldom use 2 days on a single charge

Wolfson audio chip - When i plug my note 2 to my monster headset WH930 the sound is amazing.
Quad core processor and 2GB ram - experience minimum lag but still cant beat WP and IOS smoothness but its real time multitasking

Light Notification - Can change to all kinds of colour from white, blue, red, orange, yellow, green and etc

Camera - errr you know its the usual answer BADDDDDDDDDD
Choice to open - When you open specifiy link or apps or files it gives u various choice to choose like instagram link i can open with instagram website or instagram app.

Connectivity - The wifi/3G coverage is superb places my other device low signal this device still got average coverage

Dual MIC - last time i talk softly on my lumia ppl cannot hear me but on note 2 surprisingly people can hear

Multi view - able to multi task with two windows

too bad it sux

on my 808, 3 times it locked up the phone...have to remove batt to reboot...after that i got irritated and uninstalled it.
also waze eats battery like nobody's business.

Does it sound as good as a N9 or better? Music is a big deal with me and the S3 (which I have an eye on) also has a Wolfson chip.

Yeah, I also come here more, although I use my N9 far more than my 808. Here got nice2 photos that all these sifus upload. Give me some idea of what setting to use to take what pic

Thanks for the sifus comments it was on early stage with mind set of taking clean picture with adding abit of wow factor, without needing photoshop for touch up. Agreed that the last pic was over-contrasted Still on learning phase. I will try another sets of shooting without much of the wow factor next time:)

As for audio, aside for n91. Usually all audio output is more or less the same (Nokia set is still good in producing natural audio) . For those on Bass & treble, early stages of SE Walkman series simply blows the competition out of the water with their Mega Bass settings & HPM70 earpiece (the 1st that brought in in-ear type earpiece to mobile business i guess)

Couldn't agree more that wolfson audio chip was that good, if with a nice headset to match:)

That's cool... makes me drool for S3 2GB version now... Current 1GB really not enough, can't really multi-task properly, when you go back to browser, it refreshed and restarted. Well, for one, I prefer browsing Desktop version, but then Maemo was able to handle it well, even with multiple browser window open browsing full desktop sites, and that's only with 256MB physical ram.

For smoothness, it's not a must to be super smooth. For those who use computer, should know that it depends on how you use lo, if you don't install anything and remain stock, little apps, no background service, etc. even sure smooth like butter. If you want to multi-task, the should know that it will affect the performance.
I'm more concern about the ability to multi-task and how well it provide true multi-tasking experience. To date, nothing can beat Maemo and MeeGo yet. Maemo is so convenient, just tap the small button you go to Multi-Task window and you can easily switch between other window.

Oh, did you enjoy the video gallery?

Camera part, the quality is OK, can't really compare with 808; but for most people, the S3 or Note2 Camera is very good already, it's very easy and fast, especially the burst, it let's me capture the moment better (plus, in lowlight, with burst, you can get sharp photos without blur due to shake), and also the HDR mode works well.

For image quality and high MP, still sticking back to 808, but I end up use both to capture, LoL, end up spend more time to capture one thing

Yup, the Wi-Fi is better than all other smartphones I used before so far, able to connect when others cannot detect. But Android still not able to connect to ad-hoc connection....

Btw, did you get the S3??? Saw you post something in S3 thread.

If you don't mind AP set, suggest you to go for the i9305 (when the price become more reasonable). 1GB Ram isn't really enough if you want to really multi-task.

No, I haven't got the S3 yet. Thinking about it but probably won't make a move until next year. I still prefer N9 multitasking and being able to close apps with a swipe or let apps remain open. Closing apps is a pain in Android. Sometimes the back button closes it, sometimes it doesn't. N9 also never give me this restart nonsense when I go back to a background app.

But S3 has a bigger screen and more APPS. For MeeGo I think the store will be more or less stagnant from now on. Unwilling to move but also forced to move unless want to be stuck with in a dead end OS.

If you're getting Android or S3, try to go for the 2GB ram version. I saw review they comparing S3 US (2GB) and One X, the reviewer practically have the apps open for like 1 week and it seems the app doesn't restart or being killed.
In Android, switching to multi-tasking is not so convenient, you need to press and hold the menu button (well, particularly for Samseng as other brand have different button layout already). Still, it cannot beat Maemo/MeeGo.

Android got many useful APPS which is widely use nowadays and there're many choices of browsers with Full Flash support. Now it only lacks some ability like activating mouse cursor for some special operation. Was able to do that with Maemo and somehow Maemo browser render web page better, more PC like and feel.

Symbian is falling way far behind in this, but for simple mobile web browsing there's not much to complain about.

2GB RAM version of S3? Got here meh?

Android is improving all the time. Android 2.1.2 has multisplit screen to run different apps in each screen. Android 4.2 has just been announced. But MeeGo's multitasking still cannot be beaten.

One problem with Android is the lateness of getting OS updates from manufacturer. It can take 9 months for a major version change and 6 months for a version upgrade like 4.0 to 4.1.1.

Symbian like MeeGo is already dead end and won't be improved anymore. Resolution is stuck at 640x480. App store is stagnant as developers have run away. Like Bada it is a sunset OS.

Ios too many restrictions. Don't even get me started on WP7. Tizen, BB10 and Jolla too risky. I'm not going to buy into another new OS and wait hopefully for apps. Bitten once by Bada and again by MeeGo. Twice is enough!

Only AP set, i9305 LTE version. But just available I think last week and the price is very expensive at the moment.

If you want fast update, I think can go for the Nexus 4. But it lacks micro-SD support. If that's not a problem for you, then it's the best choice now? It comes with 2GB Ram.

iOS and WP7 doesn't belong to smartphone category for me, so I won't even want to consider or look at them. How can a mobile computer phone missing mobile computer function in the first place, how does it quality as a mobile computer.
Just like a sports performance car, if it's big like MPV, no power, how can you STILL call it a performance sports car.

Jolla... would have to wait and see.

As of current, only Android "still" able to offer a proper smartphone experience and with all the apps and games.
Windows Mobile has flopped/downgraded into "mediaphone" category, no idea about Windows Phone 8.
Symbian not going anywhere since quite long ago.

I can't imagine if desktop computers also become restricted and lock down one day like Windows Phone. It's just plain dumb.
