Now I learn lesson already of course. Now, both pants/jeans pockets MUST check and take out contents, cannot assume. Haha, your phone more important than wallet/IC then

Sorry to break it to you, it means Bad. As in the phone cannot work anymore. I hope the local store there dry it up, then maybe can still work. That was why I didnt send my E6 to NCC or Nokia Store. Straight dry it with silicon gel.

I did put it straight into dry rice and put it around 3-4hours. still, there is still un-evaporated water especially on the screen side (also in the camera), I hope the phone is oke, especially the camera aspect. I have my N8 but I don't want to use it no more. I can't focus on my study while my handset is on the 'hospital' cry.gif cry.gif cry.gif

Hi guys, I just finally update my 808 to FP2. Got a question need to ask you guys. Did anyone found the new voice search feature in Nokia maps? I heard that there should be a mic button next to the search bar but mine don't have. Any idea? Thanks.

I'm not sure what sort of restrictions are there for these newly added feature, I read in GSMArena, you can transfer "unsupported" file format into the micro-SD when connected as mass-storage mode, but you will not be able to attach those file in emails or even see those files from the OS because it's "unsupported". If we're talking about a computer, how stupid is that? Imagine your Windows PC can only see media files.
But then, not everyone bothers about this, or they can imagine this... some people they need to experience it then only they will realize and complain about it (e.g. when one day there's a urgent request, they need to send specific files when they're outside, but their "smartphone" can't even do such simple task)... Just like bluetooth file transfer, some people said, I don't need it. But having it wont' harm, not having it, it's another story; imagine after taken an amazing photos of a pretty girl (or hot guys for girl), the person ask for the photo to be send to his/her phone and you "smartphone" can't do it. At least this issue, supposedly been solved in WP8, else imagine having to boast about the Lumia PureView technology, but then you can't send the photo via bluetooth... Epic!!!

True, many people will try to argue that some features are not mandatory/ this and that, but they couldn't deny the fact that something useless for them might be useful for others, they're like "ok i'm ur dad, when i say useless, then just no and shut your pomegranate up cuz it's useless". We need some features that are practical and useful when needed, not that we gonna lost piece of meat for using it. But on the other hand, feature like so called wireless charging from Nokia is kind of useless to me or dare I say to majority of buyers, cuz who the heck will plug in the wireless charging stand and on it for 24/7? manyak energy waste weii :s
I wouldn't mind if they take this feature away and keep the phone slightly slimmer or lighter, until they enable true wireless charging that you need not to "bound" your phone on top of the charging pad to charge; at this point, charging via usb cable still more practical to me cuz we can pick it up while cable is attached, but it's stupid if we need now to carry along the charging pad just to play with the phone while it charge ._.

The best homescreen is still Maemo's Panorama Desktop. It's the most flexible and customizable homescreen with FREE placement of icons, widgets, you can even overlap them, set transparancy, etc. There's even very powerful custom widgets you can customize yourself. In short, it's very much like your Windows Desktop.
Too bad Nokia already abandon this.

*
Sigh, even though we discussed this many times already, I still couldn't help but feel depress on this.
"What if" Nokia went Maemo full heartedly? they must still being top dog in smatphone industry..
Maemo is piece of combination from art, sceience, future (and whatever you can name it), it's just too.. legendary. Stupid Nokia is stupid, highe management should responsible for this.. bunch of worthless braindead zombies :/

hey guise, any way to re-download the carried mobile data settings ? Or rediscover them via the 808 ? I deleted them from my phone (using Celcom btw). The methods on the Celcom website don't work ( i get a sms saying settings received but were not saved. could not be authenticated etc or something like that).

Of course after dry. After in the water cannot even on. After 1 week put in silicone gel ie like thirsty hippo, I tried to on. Tak boleh. Put another week in silicone gel, still tak boleh. Then went buy new battery try, viola. Touchscreen can still detect, I was so happy, haha. E6 is qwerty+ touchscreen, I tot if touch tak boleh I can use the keypad, both can, so happy. Its still alive today, the incident happened last year.

For your case, suggest you go the shop ask what have they done with it. If just sitting there, better you dry it yourself than let the water spoil the electronics.
