Actually ya, it's like comparing orange and apple :s

May I know why should he opt for Nex f3 if his budget were to increase in following months please? Because needed for maintenance and lenses?

My guess is.. next year will be his sister's wedding, so he might wan to take some good photographs, but at the same time pocketability is important since he will also be busy entertaining guests and relatives, kinda fussy eh :S
*
in that case i think NEX better choice, i'm not sure NEX camera can export raw file or not. with more tweak-able setting better la lol.

maintanance? nah wont cost so much i guess. unless he drop camera on floor la. sweat.gif
or room store camera in humit kaw kaw condition then GG liao. unsure.gif

people are so worried about pocketability of camera, even with camera like Sony rx100, you're not going to fit that in your pants, and will need at least a small bag.

image quality? for serious? no comparison. the only thing Nokia will win is the megapixel war in good light, and a camera thats truely always with you. you won't get the same dynamic range and color depth with 808, and that's before you even talk about flexibity of a proper camera, and FAR more superior ISO performance.

if need absolutely pocketable camera, and dont want typical point and shoot quality, save up for Sony rx100.
*
more serious go RX1 thumbup.gif drool.gif

but serious la , mobility cant on par with quality lol... it is like you want get a serious gaming rig but want a laptop do a job.... kinda hard.

Hahaha to be honest I don't think he knows how to edit photo regardless Nex supported raw or not, so kinda useless to him xD
how to say humid huh? O.o
normal room temperature without air-cond can already? I've seen someone buy a fridge kind of thingy to control the temperature and put their dslr inside, kinda troublesome eh  sweat.gif
*
only if you dont use camera for long time, actually my DSLR never put in "drybox". oh wait i dont even have it whistling.gif

nah even my n8 beat my D70s in term of iso noise and lower light condition. tongue.gif

but sharpness (pixel per count?) still DSLR win, 6mp raw vs 12mp JPEG

and got many room to edit for DSLR. because n8 got limited WB to choose so it is headache for wedding dinner shot.

If you're getting Android or S3, try to go for the 2GB ram version. I saw review they comparing S3 US (2GB) and One X, the reviewer practically have the apps open for like 1 week and it seems the app doesn't restart or being killed.
In Android, switching to multi-tasking is not so convenient, you need to press and hold the menu button (well, particularly for Samseng as other brand have different button layout already). Still, it cannot beat Maemo/MeeGo.

Android got many useful APPS which is widely use nowadays and there're many choices of browsers with Full Flash support. Now it only lacks some ability like activating mouse cursor for some special operation. Was able to do that with Maemo and somehow Maemo browser render web page better, more PC like and feel.

Symbian is falling way far behind in this, but for simple mobile web browsing there's not much to complain about.

Kids corner is a God sent feature.  I have exactly the same problem with handphone being used by my kid and they keep calling up people by mistake.  And the next thing the apps icons are all over the place.  They need a safe corner to play their own thing.

This WP8 is not bad I gotta admit.  Now it depends on the available apps to make it work.

dont install any games in phone is a best solution tongue.gif

This is a real error message from Lumia 920. I'm not sure how you are supposed to insert a Windows installation disk into a phone.

Web browsing smoothness also I think. I mean high end single core Android vs high end single core WP7.
Or just overall usage. Dual core Android just play with it in the shop also can feel some lag on the animation and all that.

sometimes i just wonder is it the andriod use some custom skin or what make it laggish ?

how about try both in vanilla one tongue.gif

There're many factors, but technicals aside, to make it simple.
If you create something SIMPLE, it will surely be easy to manage, smooth, fast, etc.
Imagine if there is a BIG concert, but there is ONLY ONE entrance, in terms of security and controls, it's very easy to control and you don't to hire many people (manpower and resources). If you open MANY doors, you need to have more security, more manpower and resources, you need to control and manage, update the list, sooo many more things and it's much more harder to coordinate and communicate.

In terms of OS, to make it simple, we use Windows as sample and imagine you're in IT department which controls user's priviledge, accounts, networks, etc. If you control strictly the each user account, means give them a very restricted and limited account priviledge so they cannot install software, they only allow to run and use "allowed" applications, they can only access certain folders/drives, they can only see certain file types, etc. The more strict and limitations you provide, the easier to control your user and less problems.
But would you want to use such computer as your personal computer at home???
*
ya i mean this, window mobile now still so far dont have custom skin yet right?

about my personal computer, i dont install much rubbish also, only some 2-3 useful apps in chrome browser and i also disabled AERO theme, useless lol. nearly want to switch window 95 theme.

http://pocketnow.com/2013/02/03/nokia-808-...-sharing-update

QUOTE
Those of you who have a Nokia 808 PureView are probably annoyed that an image from the Gallery can be directly shared to Facebook but not to Twitter, which requires you to fire up Nokia Social and show it off from there. There are a couple of new updates reportedly going out for the 808 PureView as well as other Belle FP2 phones which seem to address this omission.

After being able to finally share directly to Twitter from the Gallery — via the Share menu option — the default icon for sharing turns to Twitter from Facebook. It’s not a major update but definitely a welcomed one and it proves that Nokia continues to improve the 808 PureView (and alike) even though it was hinted to be the company’s last Symbian/Nokia OS phone.

Of course, our own Nokia 808 PureView didn’t get the update yet (as usual) but we’ll make sure to inform you if we spot anything, upon receiving the refresh.

2nd picture is kinda waste because you keep detail on cloud only. then you should aim more higher instead wasting space on the building and crowd? unsure.gif hmm.gif
