Why the nokia symbian developer cannot fix a answer call homescreen just like Nokia X6/5800 with slide to answer and slide to unlock the screen?
And also make a lock screen/key selection on the on/off button, so that if the sliding button is broken, still can lock the screen by select on the on/off button.

its not really that hard to press the answer button...not like its tiny and ur fingers cant hit it properly.
and im guessing you havent updated the firmware yet, cos with it u can press the home button and slide to unlock.

I have a problem while answer the call when your phone put in your bag.
When the phone ring, you will suddenly press the answer/reject call key on the screen, it happen at me all the time.
Now my Nokia 808 keep in the dust and using Nokia keypad phone.

Nokia 808 Camera Freezing Problem ( Scene displayed but no icon shown)


hello guyz i am facing a strange camera problem on nokia 808...
camera opens it display the scene but no icon is shown...hitting shutter button wont click pictures....i had to reboot every time to make it work..but after few minute of letting camera idle it starts behaving in same manner...



I have tried uninstalling other softwares but to no help..yet to try hard resetting ....although camera works fine with QTcamera pro application..



I have searched ton this discussions but no proper solution could be found...according to some even hard resetting wont help

well how are u starting the camera?
using the nokia camera app or the actual shutter button?

There is a option in QTcamera where u can select this app as default one...so whenever i press shutter button it starts QT camera instead of default camera application...and this camera just works fine

since camera works for few minutes after restart....i really doubt there would be any hardware problem..

possibly the nokia camera app is corrupted then?

i had a phone, wifi worked, but sometimes connection drops etc.
at first i thought firmware issue, i brought it in and SC said motherboard problem.

WP Lumia PureView still has nothing interesting, with only OIS, others already catch up and offering the same (e.g. HTC One; HTC One has Ultrapixels as another added advantage). Samseng also rumored to kambing soon with OIS.
This technlogy easily catch up by others...

But... the TRUE ACTUAL PureView, which offers by 808 is still no match by ANY smartphone camera, not even digital camera TO DATE.

Nokia should truly reconsider what they have done ever since they join Microsoft.

Wonder when we will have something as good as 808. If Nokia don't take action and further improve this technology, later it goes to Samseng "again".
Also rumored that "Samseng" is planning on shutter functions. (Read that they plan to incorporate Optical Zoom but this will make the phone bulky)

Yes i was thinking of same nokia camera app might be corrupted....is there any way to reinstall it ???

Should i try hard resetting first before taking it to SC??....i didnt had good experience with SC in the past so little hesitated to approach there....

I love it's pureview camera, but it still can't beat the real camera, even digital camera.

This update ruin the the mail app. I can't see anything but black screen when launching mail. However, if you press blindly, you will get into the mail folder and only see the list when you press the option key to show the menu.

Damn, it went back to normal. But I already deleted my active sync.

Yeah i had to take to Nokia service centre..They said 99 out 100 its software fault....So they reinstalled firmware now its working fine..Hopefully it ll continue to work fine..
