QUOTE(Keng @ Jan 12 2015, 12:02 PM) Tried it again, less acidity. Know what, I realise I mixed up the taste of sourness and acidity. Man, I get confuse with these 2 all the time, I still do. Haha, that's the best part about coffee.. learning is just the tip of the iceberg I think I'm beginning to understand espresso more now, I think. The experience is getting more enjoyable. Do you prefer the taste of the 27 seconds extraction? It should have more body.. or along the sweet spot. You can try 28 seconds but I guess the bitterness would already overpower the acidity.. |

You basically control everything.. brewing temperature, pressure, extraction time... etc. So taste wise, many possibilities That also means, a lot of trial and errors.. bwahahaha.. but once you get the gist of it.. you can at least calculate more precisely to get a closer proper brew. Remember to prepare a calculator and scale to go along Here are some tips: http://ineedcoffee.com/upside-aeropress-co...ewing-tutorial/ http://aerohacks.tumblr.com/post/630632587...ation-technique http://infosnack.net/post/27331315248/calc...f-coffee-or-any This post has been edited by mel5582: Jan 12 2015, 07:19 PM |

I saw some of em say that is espresso grind and some says that is slightly coarser than espresso grind That also means, a lot of trial and errors.. bwahahaha.. but once you get the gist of it.. you can at least calculate more precisely to get a closer proper brew. The beauty of aeropress is.. You can use almost any grind except Turkish la lol.
For chemex, I think its on back order in the US of A. Should probably start shipping or restocking since mid Jan.. Try again in a week or so. |

QUOTE(mel5582 @ Jan 13 2015, 01:42 AM) Yeah. similar to v60 as well lol Saw that parkson was having promotion on Hario V60 kit before for RM60 only. If anyone interested. Btw just a PSA, if anyone is interested to learn about drinking and/or brewing coffee. Pleasa give Beans Depot a visit. Owner is very patient in teaching about drinking and brewing coffee, if no muka-nak-kena-tumbuk problem, owner will teach you how to use the machines. https://www.facebook.com/beansdepot This post has been edited by VinluV: Jan 13 2015, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(mel5582 @ Jan 12 2015, 07:13 PM) Looks like we really really need a calculator on this My way of doing pretty simple. Cannot say perfect but most of the time pretty satisfied. 2 scoops of ground (the scoop came with Aeropress) 90 DC, 3 quarter IKEA 365+ mug of hot water 90 secs Works for most coffee, with exception of those light roasted. Need more brewing time for those. This post has been edited by geney: Jan 13 2015, 01:48 PM |
