From what i heard from my friend who using coffex bean in his cafe, they need to put the bean at a side to release something like nitrogen or dont know what -gen that use to make the bean lasts longer when they newly open the coffex bean hmm.gif

Nitrogen gas in an inert gas which are used to maintain freshness and will be gone the second you open the packaging, exposing it to the air so its pointless to wait.

The law says you need an expiry date.

Those beans were < 2 weeks when I got them.

So there's nitrogen in it....then yea, it's still arguably good coffee until the moment you pop the bag. The 1 yr expiry is valid
Somehow my mind wandered off to potato chips when typing this reply...i need to get me some tongue.gif

I doubt there's nitrogen.

CO2 from the beans most likely.

Coffex is a big company. It might be possible given the cost

The shelf life ain't that long for cafes. You'd think marketing would have played this up too. So it's possible but I bet no nitrogen. I'll ask next time I'm there.

Hi all, I thinking to get a home use coffee machine and grinder, my budget is around Rm2.5k max for both.

Can anyone give some suggestion ? notworthy.gif
For starters I have heard EES250X is good for entry level.
