QUOTE(dananmy @ Dec 31 2009, 10:06 AM) Hi, Thx!! I didn't put any of the mention above. only some liquid to speed up the cycle process advise by the seller. Can't wait to bring back some Nemo and Tangs!!! Below is my tank Pic. Is a small tank, just wanna keep few fish. Have been cycle for 4 days now. Any comment? Ur tank size is about 1.5ft (length) X 2ft (height) X 1.5ft (width), if i'm not mistaken Yes, u can add small blue tang (2cm -3cm), some clown fish (about 2 pcs) & some damsels (better add 2 only) This post has been edited by Namgor2006: Dec 31 2009, 10:50 AM |

Wow Namgor, how did u know the size of my tank? Not bad..... Thx!! Well, I think I'll take out those Damsell off my list cause alot ppl said that they are not a good neighbour for other fish. So, I guess only Nemo x 3, Tangs x 2 and mandarin fish x 1. I LOVE mandarin fish so much!!! I taught of making collection only for all type of mandarin fish. But it will be in future when I have more$$$$
Hi Edthrax, Yeah, since I'm a beginner I just play with small tank first. In future if I'm more expert then I'll move to bigger tank. Wat do your tang eat? pallet? |

In future if I'm more expert then I'll move to bigger tank. Wat do your tang eat? pallet? blue tang u need to quarantine and dose some white spot medic for at least a week or more, mostly come with white spot ick. don't listen sure you will suffer later mandarin in your tank won't last a month, if you insist want to keep, you need breed baby brine shrimp and is troublesome. mandarin are aggressive to their own kind especially same sex so if u want to keep more fish to make your tank look more nicer, u can get the following fish dartfish like flame or fire goby, dottyback, yellow wrase, all kinds of fairy wrasse, blenny, falco btw happy new year u all This post has been edited by alexlow: Jan 1 2010, 01:13 AM |

Wat do your tang eat? pallet? start off with a pair of nemo, 1 bigger n 1 smaller, so they will pair up. Tangs need really big aquariums. If you get tiny tangs, be prepared to let it go when it outgrows your tank. LOL and about mandarins, forget it. I know your all excited and want to fill your tank with all the fish you like but u gotta do a little research on the type of fish you can get. You'd best do more research otherwise your experience with saltwater aquariums will turn into a rather unpleasant experience. This is a great website you can go to; http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquariu...4&count=30&s=ts I've given you a link for Nano(less than 30 gallon) tanks. Hi Alex and Evrae, thx for giving me those superb info! If not I'll mistakenly buy only 3 nemo! So ofcourse I'll get 2 or 4 Nemo. And for Tangs the shop owner already kept 1 pair aside for me. It's been a week now, so if I go and get them I should be able to see whether they hav white spot rite? And for mandarin fish, I've read they r quite hard to handle, so I won't get it any soon until I'm more expirience.
By d wayEvrae, thx for d website. It's really giv me alot of info!! Just what I'm looking for This post has been edited by dananmy: Jan 1 2010, 05:58 PM |

if your tank is really 10 gallons i wont get 4 nemos, a pair of nemos is just nice for your tank.
u have to consider the size of your fish when they grow to adult size n most importantly not put too many fish into your aquarium. too many fish = more toxic your water. nemos n damsels can tolerate bad water condition but not too sure about tangs. maybe a pair of nemos, 1 firefish, n a small tang is enough if u feel it lacks of live, get 1 or 2 shrimps, some snails, or hermit crabs. and if u can try not to add all of the fish at the same time. try measuring your tank with a ruler, then use this website to calculate :
http://www.firsttankguide.net/calculator.php u can measure in cm, it will give u the amount in gallons. dont worry bout the nemos, new stock will come in fast cause its quite a popular fish. |
