I don't think there will be many reefers coz cost is prohibitive.... imo
I tot of trying but halfway abandoned beli chiller alone is 1k plus now sitting abandoned in my room |

lol... nvm lar, anyone wanna share anything, can come here, i will post my tank picture soon, btw... chiller can get around 500- 600 for 2nd hand one, i got 1 unit here,friend selling

ahhahaha i finally found the seafish member,......i planning to start my saltwater tank plus reef inside but totally no idea where to go and how to start it. can u guys pls advise me.
tank size - 6 ft length, 3 ft width, 4 ft height what do i need?????? |

Wow...then you need lot of kg of sand bed. If it is just FOT. If you want to keep coral...then you need lot of live rocks, at least 2-3 MHs. Chiller is a must...big protein skimmer. easily cost around RM5K for just the equipments.

Im a small time marine hobbyist...

for me, i'm heading for the skimmer (most probably weipro), powerhead (the one i have now, i donno what brand) and blower fan (probably take one of my 120mm fans to blow) aiyah not sure also cos now thinking of planted as well........ |

sorry ah outta topic subject ... i've always been a fresh water fish rearer all the while, last week i went to a pet shop and saw this weird looking fish. it has big sleepy eyes, long and colorful redish body and the reason i like it - its very responsive follow my fingers when i play with it. going for RM38 n the one and only SUPER RED GAMMA, i thought of making it my first marine fish in a few days time. but then when i went again sold liow. i tried googling for this fish's infos but cant find .. oni got gamma fish food knn.. anyone can provide me infos on this fish name red gamma?

can't help if that name is one simply given by the shop.
for example, neolamprologus leleupi is called heaven bird or something. aihhh. tropheus moorii is called firefox. haha.........what a name. |

Marine/Reef tank can use tap water? I read at some site say cannot and not good. But I use it for my marine tanks.. no problem so far. And any other water source is expensive for me, cannot afford. unsure.gif

can ler..mostly reefer around malaysia use tap water one ..including myself of coz filter water is better compare to tap water
