I see, thanks for enlighten me...
i thought FISH ONLY and FOWLR is two different things
How long can marine fish live without filter/air pump/skimmer???
Any of you install somekind of back-up battery or power generator to support your marine tank equipment in case of blackout???

vary, depends type of fish, tank setup, size of tank, condition of water, most of all how your fish already used to adapt.
4-8hours, some people will use battery with manual or auto cut over.
i just use a dc pump, when detected blackout, battery pump will auto start to provide oksigen

Hi,
I am looking for a 2nd hand 6 feet tank and chiller, but must be reasonable price. I already set up my 4 ft tank last month...

And another 2 ft tank this month... Have about 13 fishes and also coral reefs and live rocks...
But i found out that the live stocks that available in market is very expensive. Anyone can suggest to me where I can get better deals on all the saltwater stuffs and live stock?
Cheers,
Steven Eng

No worries, man. Have u ever face the blackout problem more than 1 day? The Fish & corals actually can survive in the tank within 24 hours, they r tougher than goldfish
I think, nobody ever brave enough to keep the marine fish without air pump/ filter/ protein skimmer. It's because if they do, the fish might survive but not beautiful grown.

coral should be ok for 24hours, shipment transport around the globe just in plastic bags. however certain fish and invertebrates stay in our tank with skimmer and high oksigen, suddenly stop for too long will kill them, always good decision not to keep too many inhabitants if don't have backup plan.
