Have a read or do a search of this thread. And logically, wouldn't newer batches have less problems than older batches?

True ; it is always what most people will think. Newer batches will have less issues . Buying newer batches only gives one a better assurance feeling only
Mine is first batch C70 - no problems such as speaker, screen lift, display etc as some users. Heck, even latest batch C90 you also read of some quality issues too

So true mine is also 1st batch C70. I am lucky to have no issues at all. The 4.1.2 update seems to fix my touch screen sensitivity problem. I guess it all boils down to luck & not older or newest batches.

Screen popping up is hard to notice during unboxed. It will be lucky for you if you can find it. Mine popped up after a few days using it.

Hi guys. Is it true that ASUS Malaysia does not carry the 8gb unit?

I'm actually looking for a 8gb unit cos I intend to use it as my bedtime and toilet companion. Will be using it purely to surf the web, read some books and magazines and at most, play 1 or 2 games (Scramble With Friends).

Not a gamer, no time to watch movies on-the-go (I do that in my car) and I have an iPod Touch as MP3 player.

Currently using a Samsung Galaxy S3 for social networking and a Blackberry for e-mails.

Is the Nexus 7 genuinely worth the buy? I sold off my Apple iPad 2 after 4 months because I was extremely under-utilising it. It was a 3G model and I hardly even brought it out of the house (10 inches too big for me).

Yes, Asus Malaysia does not have 8GB. Guess the only way to buy it is from US?

I personally think N7 suits my preferences better, for being more portable. I used to have iPad 3, but sold it off days before I got my N7. No regret till now, except only missing the super awesome retina display. But still, Android platform is more interesting as compare to IOS, for me la~ tongue.gif

I was planning to buy the new ipad before that, but after trying out my friend's unit,I find that its not really portable, despite the size, its quite heavy smile.gif
