Google just launch Playbook in Japan, Nexus 7 16GB is selling at 19800 YEN
which is under RM800. Its cheap because of Play Books and Movie i guess. This post has been edited by vinboy3: Sep 25 2012, 11:42 AM |

QUOTE(mtxx @ Sep 25 2012, 11:48 AM) yup, they really earn alot from the play store. Actually movie is in the play store long time ago, just that it is not updated.every book, movie, cost so much. on average each movie cost 3.99USD, about RM10+, same price as going to cinema if movie is available in play store, i rather buy and watch on nexus7 than go cinema, save petrol, parking, and trouble. i watch more than 10movies a year. thats rm100+ straight to google. some HD movie cost 15USD. wow... mostly very old movies, but now i can see newer movie in there. It depends on users, around RM10 can watch how many times as you like. Some ppl may like it but i think mostly people will rather download than buy from there |

QUOTE(doggydogg @ Sep 25 2012, 03:48 PM) ooops! i mean stuck at paranoid boot screen. not bootloop. after booting past the kernel screen cannot do anything else but cut off the power. combo key works if you unlock & root your device using the toolkit. without entering fast boot you cant do anything. but no worries, aftering DC the battery, i manage to boot into TWRP and properly reinstall the rom. this time my device is running perfectly fine I have this issue b4, actually by pressing power button 10 seconds,i will reboot, b4 the screen turns on, just press both up and down volume key without the power button. you will be booted onto bootloader. Added on September 25, 2012, 3:58 pm QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 25 2012, 03:34 PM) Is a bug in both twrp n clockworkmod recovery due to bootloader. You need to be connected to pc to boot into recovery mode with hard buttons Finally i understand why. I thought i did some where Easiest use free app quickboot to boot into recovery directly wrong which cause the recovery does not load. QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 27 2012, 10:41 AM) I think Google is not that dumb to allow such unethical, dishonest opportunistic methods Well i just RMA 1 unit, which makes me claim 50USD, but in 2 different account of course. It is restricted to only one gmail account One user have tried restting gain and attempted to get another round of US$25 - obviously he fail I saw it some where it did mention one G acc can only receive once. |

QUOTE(jpaq @ Oct 12 2012, 12:00 PM) They won't RMA outright if what you mean by "RMA" is "Return Merchandise Authorisation" i.e one to one replacement. If you send to Asus SC, they will try repairing it first, which would include replacement of parts, where necessary. AFAIK, if the problem persists after 3 times sending in for repairs, only then will they replace your tablet with a new unit for you. I found 1 dead spot on my screen after 2 days of purchase.HOWEVER, if you purchased it from an authorised retailer/reseller here in Malaysia and you discovered the problem within the first 7 days of purchase, Asus authorises an automatic one to one replacement for you. Bring your receipt and defective unit to Asus SC to double confirm this (within 7 days). If ok, they will tell you to go back to the retailer/reseller you bought from, and ask for one to one exchange (also within the 7-day period, I think). But check with the Asus SC on one very important thing: "If the shop refuse, how???". Ask them what is the procedure or who you or the shop should contact at the Asus SC (ask what number to call) if that happens. One more thing, if you looking for one to one replacement, bring the box and everything else that came with it with you (documentation, charger, cable, etc). Still within 7 days for you? Time to move your ass... LOL I went back to the shop and they change me a new unit I would say just go back to the shop and ask for 1 to 1 exchange |
