Whats the options for backing up nexus?

I have still working on stock N7 and didn't use $ 25 till now from the date of purchase. I did purchase from Australia during my travel and i am living in Malaysia. Now 2.5 months from the date of purchase. . With in how many days we have to claim? i am unable to register for warranty online? is it a must. I also look forward for rooting. But i am not sure since this purchased from Brisbane , can i continue same procedure of us sold units?

Try to transfer cwm backup to PC. Abort coz too slow. Now converting blog file to zip. Is there a better option?.

Not yet. Can claim after 2.5 months ? is it similar on all international units. Most methods show use us address. Mine is a Aus buy. any optons.

damm. failed to update 4.1.2. Got red explanation mark even factory reset image with boot uplock. Now try factory reset image and boot lock.

Any idea how to solve this? Besides, factory image is available for 4.1.2. Anyone try flash to this version?

Its ok. How about the options of back up. with out rooting back up is not possible?

What's the plot of making cwm backup if u never keep it in ur device?

Its called a backup. When something screw up u cn restore from it.
If your backup is in ur PC its totally useless. Always keep one copy in our device.

If u want to keep our backup in PC.
Use toolkit to perform cwm backup while USB is plug in.

Just a 2nd backup file in PC that all for insurance mah.

Finally managed to get 4.1.2 installed on my nexus 7. This is how is achieve it (if you get exclamation mark-red when update to 4.1.2)

Note: Backup App & data
1. Use wug 1.5.3
2. Select Back to Stock and flash stock rom
3. Finally OEM Lock.
4. System Update again. (Tested if just OEM Lock without Flash Stock rom does not work for me).
5. Restore App & data

isnt it easier and faster to sideload using adb? lol...
oh ya and wugfresh toolkit got some failure history,
mskip toolkit safer.

my backup is too big.. around 3~4gb.. running out of space.. there is no point of using if the device runs out of space as well.. so I backup and then send to pc.. if I need to restore I'll shuffle some stuff out and copy the backup in.. 16gb is not exactly enough
just use adb command to shuffle if the it boot loop.. usually adb shell works fine but need to be familiar with those commands

for those who try copy backup and fail due to too many files you can copy using adb command or use android commander.

Mine speaker become more soft.

After updating to 4.1.2 , feels that the screen rotation sensitivity increased.

$99 for 8GB $199 for 16GB $249 for 32GB...
I'm wondering who will get 16 and 32GB versions?

With at least $100 extra compared to 8GB, I can even buy an external harddisk or 64gb pendrive x 5 (whatever)

Take previous price, 16GB version $249 but we can get it for around 950 before Asus official launch. Let's say it's RM200 higher as it reach here (bought from US @ 99, sell to us here @ RM200 higher price)
99*3 + 200 =??
RM500 If and only if Google is going to sell it at 99

Edit: Since Asus has international warranty. I don't care where should I buy from. As long as the price is lowest
