I did my exhaust system at Kweng84 place last weekend. The power was good, and pick up improved

Just now went to check some sounds and found out air leaking out from the connector between the muffler and the piping, everything was done and i went home.

After dinner, on the way home on LDP, i realize lost of power, the engine is rougher that normal, rpm climb is slow and hard compared as before!

Any idea what is happening ?

As I say, their mufflers and products are cheapskate from China (so called Taiwanese made). I had the same problem and my muffler leaked just after few weeks of usage and I can't be bothered to return for the 3rd time. They also killed my O2 sensor and I have to replace it for RM1000+ Their representative seller over here is also very irresponsible, saying and promising things but end up never doing.

I suggest you to find another shop to resolve the problem or if you think it's worth to give WAI HENG another chance then return and get it rectified. If they ask you to pay more to get this and that changed, you might as well forget it. Trust me that WAI HENG is a very terrible exhaust shop to go.

The thing that leaked was also my center bullet. I could never imagine it could leak only within weeks. Plus even if it's not the center bullet of yours which is having problems, it might be something else and this can potentially mean their workmanship sucks (which I have the same experience).

Thanks bro smile.gif I've been conned 2 times so I'll make sure I don't fall for the 3rd time. I'm pretty disappointed that after all those trust I've given to this person (product specialist), this is what I get in return.

Actually all exhaust shops are able to help you modify and do recommendations. However some of them are not qualified enough and unable to give you proper advice. For example, the recommendation did by WAI HENG to my ride has caused my top speed to drop to 170km/h (totally unacceptable for a 2.4 litre car). Just be careful and you don't want to screw up your ride smile.gif Keep the stock mufflers/CAT in case you need to replace it back.

Alternatively you can browse and google around to get some ideas. Also, there's a certain limit you can gain from the exhaust modification. If you're really interested in getting more power, why not consider stuffs like E-Manage, Unichip, lightened crank pulley, etc?

It's actually alright and if you know what you're doing, you can ask them to do according to what you want instead of them recommending. As long as you have the $$$, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you out smile.gif Bigger piping size isn't necessarily better but you can give it a shot. Personally I'll try to stick with stock as much as possible or only a slight increase (I'm on auto transmission).

I'm sorry to hear that bro and looks like both of us got conned badly sad.gif Their muffler are of cheap quality so it doesn't give enough back pressure to obtain better top speed.

If your ride is modded, better brief them through as they know what setup is suited for your ride

Or probably tell them your future upgrades as well so that they can come out with a setup to suit ur mods in the future

Please be careful while removing the CAT (if you intend to do so). Make sure they take extra precaution as the O2 sensor is very sensitive to air, water, your fingers, etc laugh.gif You don't want to kill it as it's very costly to replace.
