I don't think Wai Heng is reliable At least for me, I'll never return to any of their shops again. They are selling China made mufflers that doesn't last and telling us it's from Taiwan. That's already dishonesty and not only that, the price is not cheap either.

If got extra money to spend than i suggest u to go Jian Heng Batu Cave or Ijal Exhaust at Kg Nahkoda Selayang...Their workmanship are superb 

As I say, their mufflers and products are cheapskate from China (so called Taiwanese made). I had the same problem and my muffler leaked just after few weeks of usage and I can't be bothered to return for the 3rd time. They also killed my O2 sensor and I have to replace it for RM1000+ Their representative seller over here is also very irresponsible, saying and promising things but end up never doing.

I suggest you to find another shop to resolve the problem or if you think it's worth to give WAI HENG another chance then return and get it rectified. If they ask you to pay more to get this and that changed, you might as well forget it. Trust me that WAI HENG is a very terrible exhaust shop to go.

Actually all exhaust shops are able to help you modify and do recommendations. However some of them are not qualified enough and unable to give you proper advice. For example, the recommendation did by WAI HENG to my ride has caused my top speed to drop to 170km/h (totally unacceptable for a 2.4 litre car). Just be careful and you don't want to screw up your ride Keep the stock mufflers/CAT in case you need to replace it back.

Alternatively you can browse and google around to get some ideas. Also, there's a certain limit you can gain from the exhaust modification. If you're really interested in getting more power, why not consider stuffs like E-Manage, Unichip, lightened crank pulley, etc?

It's actually alright and if you know what you're doing, you can ask them to do according to what you want instead of them recommending. As long as you have the $$$, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to help you out Bigger piping size isn't necessarily better but you can give it a shot. Personally I'll try to stick with stock as much as possible or only a slight increase (I'm on auto transmission).
I'm sorry to hear that bro and looks like both of us got conned badly Their muffler are of cheap quality so it doesn't give enough back pressure to obtain better top speed.

I went to 2 WAI HENG's and the first one (Setapak XIN EXHAUST) was totally screwed because their recommendation was totally wrong. The setup was noisy and the car vibrating like mad when you step on the accelerator. The reason is because of the loud humming sound from the mid and rear muffler. After that I changed to a more silent setup in Puchong where I was made to pay RM550. They re-did everything from the front till the rear and the guy also seemed to know what he is doing. However on one fine day, I drove to Cameron Highlands only to know my top speed stays at 170km/h. After that, I went to Genting and came back with a damaged/leaked mid muffler which produces loud humming sound. Not long later, my O2 sensor was broken.

In total, I've spent RM1400+ on WAI HENG but now, I don't use anything from them at all. It's only about 2-3 months and I had everything including piping changed from another shop in Ampang. This new place that I go to have better quality mufflers and are more silent as well.

As I say, what we want is different and mine at 6,500rpm is only some buzzing sound I want a setup that is as silent as possible.

I went to Wai Heng few months ago to do my exhaust, i was told that 2 center box + 2" piping would be a good setup and i was new that time, so i just ikut la. was told that the bullets are imported from Taiwan so its good. 2-4 months later, everytime when heavy rain, my car undercarriage vibrates and my exhaust tone changed when it rains. I went back to them and ask them check, their reply was "i found a small hole, but it shouldnt cause ur car to vibrate but i already weld it back, if problem still there, i cant help u, u need to go back honda". I was like "wth?, u think honda will layan me after i changed exhaust?"

So i thought ok la, settle, but the problem didnt end. then 6months from the day i installed those center boxes which is today, i went and check at other exhaust shop because i cant just act like nothing happened. The exhaust shop checked and confirmed 1 of the center bullet already kaput, can even see the burnt mark outside the box and the boss even confirmed that its locally made instead of their so called "imported quality".
