Hi guys,
looking for a 2.1 speaker for my laptop, for music and movies, budget 200~250, room size 4m x 5m
read through few last pages, apparently M3300SF is a good choice
possible to get a speaker that supports bluetooth input at this price range? found M3280BT, but it cost over 300++, is it a good choice?
i'm in KL, which mall will have more selection?
thx guys
p.s. audiophile noob here, first time getting a decent speaker to stimulate my auditory senses
For around that range, that would be Edifier M3300SF. And bit more at around RM290 would be Edifier R1600TIII. If you want Bluetooth functionality, then I would suggest getting a Bluetooth receiver (to pair it with your favorite audio equipment or active speaker system). As for that Edifier M3280BT model, have not heard it yet thus can't comment on its sound quality. As always, try testing/auditioning those speakers first before buying...

Hi, I recently just bought an Asus essence STX for my pc and would like to upgrade my speakers to match it. I'm looking at a 2.1 system. Budget around RM 500, lower would be better but dont mine going slightly higher.
Currently thinking between Logitech Z623, and from this thread, Edifier M3300F. Which one is better for my sound card?
Open to any other suggestions too.
What is your current speaker setup? If you have a good soundcard then you may want to look for something more HiFi (and have very good clarity). And for around that RM500 range, Edifier Studio 7 (a.k.a Edifier R2700) come into the picture. This is closely followed by Edifier M3300SF and Edifier Studio 6 (a.k.a Edifier R2600). And the Logitech Z623 isn't exactly great in the clarity part (primarily due to lack of real tweeters), and its strength is just mostly bass only...

I've been using my Bose Companion 2 Series II since August 2011 and it still runs great to this day. I actually bought it refurbished from the Bose factory outlet store - it was less than RM200 (after conversion from USD) and it still had a 1-year warranty to back it up.
I liked how it blends in aesthetically with my MacBook, and it's very low profile structure which fits in anywhere and doesn't need a big subwoofer to pump out bass.

Yes, quite familiar with this speaker and for its tiny size it does have some bass. But IMHO the bass isn't that great actually (not enough low frequency coverage). I suggest checking out Edifier Luna Eclipse E25 and/or Edifier Exclaim E10. You'll be surprised how well these speakers reproduce bass frequencies considering their size. They also have better highs due to having tweeters...
