Thanks for your quick reply.
I'm actually also looking at these two.
Does an external amp give any advantage?
*
for normal consumer usually no because external amp just requires more space than built-in amp

but if you are audio geek who loves to experiment then you can buy and separate it easily by pairing it with other amp/speaker just for fun.
or if you think an external amp looks cool~ go for it too since some say having external amp somewhat better with external cooling without being cramped inside a subwoofer box laugh.gif

need a quick recommendation for bluetooth 2.1 speaker within the budget of rm250. anyone?

For budget RM250, i will recommend you Edifier M1370BT.
If you can top up a bit then go for M3280BT.

Hi AV Sifus,

I have a someone who needs a 6 speaker setup + amp + DVD playback and possibly a iPod or audio-in option for their restaurant.

Purpose is mostly playback.

If there is any sifu who can recommend me what systems I can go for? I've approached Atlas Hifi for Bose and I think its a little too out of their range.

Would appreciate and brand recommendations and trusted sellers.

Thank you in advance.

For speaker, you can give Edifier S760D a try, a 5.1 speaker with 540w.

Hello guy, i need some advice.

My soundcard just went kaput just when i am planning to change 2.0 or 2.1 speaker.
But i am overwhlemed by all the soundcard(x-fi, xonar series) we have on the market now.

I would like to know if my top priority is music playing with 2.0/2.1 speakers, which soundcard is best for me? I saw those higher end sound offers many ports but it seems i am not gonna utilized them right?

Also I am putting rm400 for speaker. I heard ppl recommending C3 or R1900tiii for music. Would c3 with subwoofer offer better bass? I am not bass head, but would love a typical hifi V shape sound, good bass without sacrificing vocal, clarity and stuff.

Can give me some advice? Thanks.

Hey Guys I need help in finding the most reasonable 2.1 speakers,
My budget is around 300
I prefer deep and thumping bass but not too muddy
I listen to mostly hip hop songs and sometimes EDM

After lots of reading I've come up with a list of speakers that were recommended

1) Edifier Hsc2330
2) Altec Lansing V4621 Octane 7
3) Edifier C2X
4) Hivi Swans M10
5) Edifier P3080M
6) Creative Inspire S2
7) Logitech Z4
8) Edifier S330

But In the end it was between :-
1) Edifier Hsc2330
2) Altec Lansing V4621 Octane 7
3) Logitech Z4

Help me please ! I am currently using Vinnfier Xenon 3 and I need better bass!

hi, for budget <rm700 , is hivi m50w good? or is there any other better option .. do i need a sound card too? mainly for listening the song and gaming smile.gif thanks
*
Am personally using M50W for around 3 months now. Same like you to listen to song and gaming purpose. Previously using logitech z2300. What a difference it's been compared to logitech. Certainly much clearer and to me tighter bass. Gave away the old speaker to my brother.

i pair it with fiio e10 dac (i've got a lousy soundcard). Am planning to get the xonar essence.

Hi all

Got maranta sr4500 pair with wharfedale diamond 8 (5.1)
Planning to change the speaker set to something smaller especially the surround as wharfedale 8.1 bookshelf is damn huge to be hang on the ceilings (no walls) on my new house.

Prefer smaller 1 that can hang on the ceiling. Any recommendation or shall I get a smaller speaker system?

I just bought the M3300SF and realized the bass is kinda weak. But most importantly, the vocals are too strong, covering up the instrumental alot, which wasn't really suitable for me sad.gif

Just wondering is there any other speaker that has a balance in all those 3? Was thinking of trying the S330 since many people recommend it. Any users can give advice on whether it will suit me?

If I can set to lower the vocals in the M3300SF that would be good, no need so much trouble laugh.gif

The M3300SF has very flat sound, terrible mid range which is bad for vocals. This is due to the flat satelite design.

Got get the Edifier C3 for about RM400+ or the HCS2330 if you have slightly lower budget. Better speakers for music (vocals) than the S330 which has flat sound and sub par mid range

Actually I'm new to speakers and this is my first time buying a speaker. First of all I kinda need explanation for what some terms means:
Flat sound?
Mid range?
And whats the disadvantage of flat satelite design?
What do you call the singers voice in the music and what do you call the background music?

Sorry for the trouble, newbie here sweat.gif

I heard C3 bass is terrible without sound card hmm.gif So u mean s330 has same type of sound with m3300sf? Or are all Edifier speakers' sound like this?
