Hello guy, i need some advice.

My soundcard just went kaput just when i am planning to change 2.0 or 2.1 speaker.
But i am overwhlemed by all the soundcard(x-fi, xonar series) we have on the market now.

I would like to know if my top priority is music playing with 2.0/2.1 speakers, which soundcard is best for me? I saw those higher end sound offers many ports but it seems i am not gonna utilized them right?

Also I am putting rm400 for speaker. I heard ppl recommending C3 or R1900tiii for music. Would c3 with subwoofer offer better bass? I am not bass head, but would love a typical hifi V shape sound, good bass without sacrificing vocal, clarity and stuff.
