Really? How come I heard ppl talking about C3 lacking in bass?

Currently my option is Edifier C3, S330 and R501 MKII but I wonder if those RM 200 speaker can perform good enough for movies with my HTPC? And how long is the cable for R501 MKII? Really interested to try 5:1 setup but I wonder if R501 MKII are using 5 jack or a single jack to sound source. My MK808 media player and TV doesn't have 5:1 or 7:1 jack....

what would you have me do?? this is my first time ..^^

Looking for 5.1 speakers that has SPDIF / Optical in.

I've considered getting a AV receiver but that one would explode my budget.

I'm not really sure as I'm overseas so the price range differs, E30 cost around Rm700~ while the C2xd cost around Rm 350.

if I want to upgrade to Edifier C3, will the sound be better for my HD598? Anybody have same headphone as mine? Or a comparison between Blue Thunder 1 vs Edifier C3?

I think your soundsticks will work as a great subwoofer but it can get a lil annoying (or dangerous lol not sure)

My subwoofer line out had a very low volume to it so on my subwoofer volume I had to max out the volume entirely just to get the bass singing

a slight hiss/pop in it but it's okay

that y i asking here, all gt their weak point...

Btw, will external sound card give enough performance boost to Justify the extra $$ ? I had heard someone said won't see the difference if speaker not good enough. Those rm700+ speakers we discuss good enough?

is buying an amplifier better or using this usbsound card?

with M50W, just an onboard sound card will blow you away  , coz the sub ady built-in a lot circuit boards 
with a decent sound card, I don't think u hear much difference.
Also, audiophile always claim loseless audio files like flac/ape play better than mp3, that's bullshit to me, with today technology it's not the same, an mp3 can perform on par with a flac/ape file, definitely, it depend how you encode a file and how you get the original audio file, persoanally I recommend this software called Audacity, I use it to encode VBR MP3 with best quality, always work like a charm for me, when listen and compare, I hear no difference, MP3 works for most situation like playing your musics in your card, there is a huge space save for your USB drive too . Of course if possible I also keep a copy of loseless audio track, I do both way

This is because Edifier prefer invest the money on the sound quality than the look.

Might be the reason y it didn't sound good.

Eh?I saw most ppl recommend Edifier C3 or R2600 but why nobody recommend Edifier R501 MkII?5.1 speakers some more 400++ only I saw on the recommended list above posted by IvanLee7899
