Again, buletin from Proton Edar is P&C. I just summarise the issue and posted up chasiss number range involved, and also where they can solve the issue. |

it is worth the whole while i waited for more than 3 hours to do ecu/tcu remapping...
before i forget, in eon penang, u will see they use sagaflx ecu, i asked the technician there, he said its typo... difference: 1. in D mode, press brake fully stop, the rpm maintain the same, at 600 or 700 rpm. 2. in N mode, the rpm change, at 900 rpm... 3. new ecu/tcu change the second gear issue, which it will rev up to 1.9k or 2k rpm then drop back to 1.5k rpm... 4. car ady move quite fast in 1.3-1.5k rpm, compare to previous tcu, car only move quite fast during 1.6-1.9k rpm... 5. can just maintain rpm around 1.5k rpm for 50-80km/h driving in town, compare to previous one, need to maintain around 1.7k rpm... 6. in D mode, after gear engage, the rpm will rev to 1k rpm to move, compare to previous one, rpm at 900... 7. feel like current tcu/ecu setting like put in S mode, very responsive...way responsive.. assumption based on my observation: 1. fc will be better... >> for past two days, i tried put in D mode, then observe the "instant" in SID, from idle to start to move the car, it need about 99l/100km to move car. >> now, new tcu/ecu, just need about 40l-60l/100km to move the car. Added on November 9, 2012, 8:03 pmadd on: havent test out the top speed yet, penang island cannot drive that fast... This post has been edited by arthur88: Nov 9 2012, 08:03 PM |

Added on November 9, 2012, 8:03 pmadd on: havent test out the top speed yet, penang island cannot drive that fast... I thought remapping ECU was simply re-flashing the chip? Although I do not have exact comparison numbers, but I really do noticed the Instant FC number are lower when driving at about 40km/h to 80km/h regardless what is the RPM. But this will not make the average FC goes down because it's so pleasure to step on the pedal to feel the power. One thing not sure if related to your difference 3. that second gear rev up then drop back? For my car, when launch from standstill with about 50% pedal level, the car (or the rpm) seems to go up and down with a rhythm but not gradually going up or maintain at any rpm. It's quite hard to describe, wish I can attend next TT so I can let you test drive mine. |

Although I do not have exact comparison numbers, but I really do noticed the Instant FC number are lower when driving at about 40km/h to 80km/h regardless what is the RPM. It's quite hard to describe, wish I can attend next TT so I can let you test drive mine. what i'm saying here is observe it, make sure it is that file, unless they correct the typo... in old tcu/ecu, from stand still, at first gear, the rpm will rev up to 1.5k or little bit more rpm then drop.... then (assume its 2nd gear), the rpm will rev way up to 2k rpm or 2.1k rpm.. then 3rd gear, the rpm will rev up to 1.5k or a bit more then change gear...and so on.... from the first gear to 7th gear, only 2nd gear significantly rev up so high... but in the new tcu/ecu, we will no longer see this "fluctuation"... it just smooth all the way between 1k rpm to 1.5k rpm....of course unless u press so much until 2k rpm... now i have to be careful with my right foot, why? cause, before this, light foot become heavy foot now...need to be more light... another important note, even u pedal hard (within 2k rpm), the "instant" fuel comsumption will around 20-40l/100km... compare to previous tcu/ecu, the "instant" will be 40l/100km onwards... A lot of good reviews of the new ECU... getting me very excited
So, confirm for all models, right? Not only CFE? |

Good day to all previans..
Got my Preve Executive CVT for 3 days only Situation: on 9Nov Raining, standstill traffic jam, wiper on at normal mode (wiper have interval, normal and hi-speed mode), Bluetooth Radio Streaming, Main Headlights ON (fog light off), Aircond ON Problem: 1. During the fan/compressor kicks in, the light in the car become dim, the streaming stop and continue after 1sec 2. The funny part is the wiper which I set at normal speed mode, become Interval Mode. 3. And lastly the problem that I worried, the engine rev high then low, seems like to to die off at low rpm... I switch off the aircond and drive again, problem no 1 and no2 still occur but problem no3 does not, and I was already out of the standstill jam, driving at normal speed I think that the power/alternator does not give enough power to the car system, which causes all this problem. Anyone encounter this kind of problem before? |
