QUOTE(kenlui @ Sep 17 2012, 06:27 PM) Just washed my car and realised there are a few small spots which have chipped of paint, probably from the stones flying off 2 lories that day while I was driving. Damn sakit hati la, anyone know where I can go and repair those chipped parts? Can our own proton service center do it? For complete repair, u will need to to respray the whole body part which has stone chipped. A small touchup with paint won't give u glossy and smooth finish.Am thinking of sending my car for a Permanon detailing session. Anyone has experience with it? Price is RM350 inclusive of wash, and basic claying etc etc. Just wondering whether I should just go with those groupon car wash+polish rather than paying such a premium. Doing permanon detailing with stone chip on the car? |

QUOTE(kenlui @ Sep 17 2012, 06:58 PM) Not detailing the stone chip part. Detailing the whole car. Respraying the whole body part is a no brainer, the chip part is at the bonnet & bumper area. You dun get my words anyway. When I'm talking about body parts, isn't refer to the whole vehicle. Only to the affected parts, as you mentioned in the 2nd post, bonnet and bumper. Detailing the whole car where there are stone chip marks on bonnet and bumper front? I would respray the bonnet and bumper and send for detailing right away. |

QUOTE(SoFtBuNnY @ Sep 17 2012, 09:30 PM) because right now i can't really afford his car loan...hence...before court awards me the ownership...i can only continue paying or let the bank re-possess it... if the bank repossesses it, I should also take out the accessories he added on it, right? Well, if the finance come and tow your car away because you not able to pay the installment, everything he modded will be gone. Then what do i do with his sharks fin antenna, reverse camera and pioneer dvd gps player? Antenna, reverse camera and the dvd gps player can be sold off for some money. Especially the dvd gps player, I believe many of us would be interested. |

Ya, that would be good. GPS dvd player should be able to fetch some money though, will need the model name to check the retail price, then u can let it go to the highest bidder.

To those who are near or not far from Nilai, I do recommend LHM One Stop Car Service Centre S/B.
The boss Ryan is a very helpful person, they are doing around 1000 cars per month (should be lesser than COSE) but he is a very dedicated person. I also learn a lot about managing service centre from him. They also one of the appointed Proton Insurance Program (PIP) body & paint repairer |

QUOTE(Saya_Dhuang @ Sep 24 2012, 09:00 PM) Guys, mat79 did. Try to maintain the below or at 2000rpm because that will be the time where maximum torque comes at.Got one thing in my mind bros. Did any of us here mention anything of which RPM that our beloved Preve will perform optimally. I mean, have u guys found out in any thread before that at what RPM that preve will perform at its best. best as in which RPM that will use the fuel minimally while in the same time producing the best power output? Has anybody discussed this before? Sorry for being so forgetting.. That should allow the vehicle to run at maximum torque and also the optimum fuel efficiency. Again, playing the throttle pedal and mixing with the CVT characteristics will help too. [Which I dun fully understand yet] |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 6 2012, 11:23 PM) i heard this thing is not a good thing for SQ, will drop the overall SQ for sure, maybe temporary only is good.. how much u paid for it? Well I do think my car SQ is very good now, at least with amp and component speakers I have. This is the only solution you can go with if you want to retain the original headunit and steering audio/bluetooth handsfree control. How much? No idea. perhaps less than RM50. Depend on brand and also how much the seller want to cut your throat. |

QUOTE(ben3003 @ Oct 7 2012, 07:01 AM) oh ok.. steering audio they say can use some socket no problem.. i don feel like retaining the ori HU, just tat i don wan to burn my wallet by buying HU and amp together lolz. I did asked. Not many options available to keep the steering control. Again to me speakers n amp more important. The stock HU isn't too bad actually |

QUOTE(Jas_Havok @ Oct 8 2012, 10:20 AM) Morning preveians! Been a silent follower of the thread since the launch of Preve and thinking to buy but was held back by the problems i heard/read about. Finally I went to Proton Glenmarie for a test drive yesterday and WOW!! I was impressed by the comfort, quietness of the cabin, stability of the car and the handling feels solid.. all better than my 05 honda city. If SA willing to give you 1.4k discount, they almost throw all their margin away....Now Im definitely gonna get one.. was gonna order at proton glenmarie but the SA insisted no discount. Ive asked other SAs and they are giving me up to 1.4k discount, but today i saw an ad at carlist giving 5k discount and another 4.5k.. I wonder why are they giving so much more discount than the others? As long as you can get something near to 1k discount, to me will be a good deal. |
