Same case happened to my lappy as well and I had sent it in for warranty last Tuesday(8Jan2013). I haven't got back my lappy yet but when I called em, they are shipping in the wifi card and keyboard to exchange with the faulty one. Hope everything is fine after the parts replacement.

because us set got 1 year warranty and malaysia set got 2 year warranty. but if you wana extend warranty for us set also can.

why lenovo malaysia put 2 year standard warranty when the default warranty just only 1 year? i think the trick is u need to register the item then only can get 2 year warranty....if not register or inform them? ur item just 1 year warranty....so hassle buy local model..... laugh.gif

you are wrong, lenovo purposely did this , as they encourage reseller to help customer register the warranty (　some customer do not have scanner ), in the mean time, reseller can advise customer to upgrade total warranty to 3 year , its win win situation. nod.gif at least my reseller help on it, although price not the cheapest , but the pre and post services was definitely worth every cents

dont buy us set.too many problem.just bought local set.i email my receipt and s/n to lenovo.my warranty now 2 years.can upgrade somemore warranty.
