A question here, since the y400/y500 come with build in gt650m, even it is sli, only can pair with gt650m right?
No higher gpu like gtx670m or gtx680m? |

QUOTE(Jabberwocky @ Nov 26 2012, 12:04 AM) Based on your gpu-z, seems that Lenovo capped the gt650m graphic card in y500 compared to the one in y480.Y480 GPU-Z ![]() Y500 GT650M-GPU clock 790MHz, boost up to 835MHz Y480 GT650M-GPU clock 745MHz, boost up to 885MHz. But you can always overclocked it to higher clock speed btw. This post has been edited by tennytyy: Nov 26 2012, 04:55 PM |

QUOTE(Jabberwocky @ Nov 27 2012, 03:12 PM) I only have 4Gig but gaming experience for me its the best so far, it meets my requirement therefore I won't upgrade to 8Gig. Too be honest I prefer the overall feeling of the y500 than playing on my friend's Razer Blade, call me weird but its true. People are attracted by the cool backlit keyboard i guess. My palm doesn't feel much heat (Blade have a focus heat spot, which annoys me) and jumping from keys to keys is pretty at ease (hardly pushed the wrong key) I brought my machine to chill out at a nearby Starbucks, last about 2 hrs 45 mins with continuous gaming (DOTA2, GW2 in max setting, battery 'high performance' profile. and 1 more thing, it make head turns! Btw, what is the colour of the backlight of the keyboard? Is it red backlight? |

I wonder if Lenovo still using Broadcom brand wireless network adapter in y500 just like what they did in y580.
Anyone can confirm with me about this? |
