Good. Now right click on the entry with the yellow (!), select properties.
The 1st tab is the "General" tab, and it will give you a general description of the problem.
Click on the tab "Driver". Then select "driver details". Do you see the "mt7118vu ..."?
If yes, we have locate the problem.
I am pretty sure Y500 in Malaysia don't have Wimax built in (anyone can confirm)?
If we are sure, then you have 2 choice:
1. Disable the driver. Click "Disable".
2. Uninstall the driver. Click "Uninstall".

I suspect this driver get in there because Lenovo is doing a disk image install of OS from a Y500 that may have WiMax.

ya,but they re testing in 15-3210 only
i7-3630 should be better
hope you can test crysis 2,cod 9 as in [ultra ,direct 11,and 1920*1080]

That's why laa...because I plan to buy the Y500 and would like to play NFS Most Wanted with it. So, i'm afraid it cannot cope with the FULL HD Resolution even with the dual SLI GFX card.

Unless, I have to lower the resolution to 1600 x 900 or 1366 x 768

Look forward for Y500 gaming benchmark to identify:
- how well the Lenovo current driver support the SLI scalling in individual game.
GT650m vs GT650m SLI scalling, GT650m SLI vs gtx670m/ gtx675m
- any annoy micro stuttering issues during SLI gaming especially with low fps <35fps, it can also happen in higher fps also.
- whats the game not scalling with SLI.
- IMO, no need to test the gaming temp. as refer to Furmark stress temp is better.

We are comparing with gaming benchmark from notebookcheck.
GT650m vs GT650m SLI scalling, GT650m SLI vs gtx670m/gtx675m.

Let standardise the gaming setup for gaming benchmark from different users:
- state gpu driver version
- use FRAPS to measure fps, enable SLI
- choose ur favourate game(as hardcore/popular as possible) as stated in notebookcheck
- pls use the standard game setting(as high as possible) as in notebookcheck so that we can compare
GT650m vs GT650m SLI scalling, GT650m SLI vs gtx670m/ gtx675m
- state any micro stuttering issues in SLI gaming.
- post screen for gaming setting, fps on individual screen capture, min/max/average fps, fps chart
- repeat benchmark with single gpu & same setting.

Anything else to add? suggestion/modification are most welcome from pro.

Was about to buy Y580 then saw this thing in lowyat yesterday. Dafuq.... What a quality lookin laptop... In my oppinion far apart then Y580 (I compared it side by side). Now my problem is now to increase the budget (Damn it!) and hopefully to get one without the second GPU ( Its upgradable, so might as well upfrade the worthy one in coming years)

I now see Y580 as an ugly brother of Y500.... Its built solidly and the design is classy. Wonder why theres still no professional reviews for this unique laptop. Usually reviewers run to review new tech.

Win8 don't natively support rar (zip should be fine).

Can think of 2 possiblities:
1. UAC - User Access Control. Do you login as admin?

In short, did you change a theme? It impact the UAC setting in "Sound".
Control Panel > Sound > Change System Sound > Window UAC > NONE.

2. Anti-virus acting up.

I think some windows component ady mess up since wermgr,exe is one of them.....
I advice factory reset or rebuilt ur laptop Win 8 by urself (if u know ur win 8 key)
My Y480 Win8 Pro is installed by myself, It is no problem until now except some Y480 driver still no release when Win 8 release
