Y500 & Y400 ultrabay support both PCIe and SATA as per the pic below. External gpu connected to PCIe port and ODD connected to SATA port.

What Jabberwocky posted was more like a confirmation for Malaysia context Good job Jabberwocky (if I remember correctly he mentioned this is the 1st time he run benchmark suite) and the rest And thanks ytlay 
The 1st post of this thread already listed a few benchmark done in China (same GT650M SLI).
In short, benchmark indicate it is about GT670M level, under GT670MX. Of course benchmark can only tell you so much, with the normal caveat that come with SLI setup (in this case apparently through SATA rather than PCIe).

Can the owner of y500 here do me a favour, plz check if the wireless network adapter in your laptop is Atheros or Broadcom.

but i face a problem weak wifi signal strength within it mybe bcoz running on wind 8.

If it is Atheros, the wifi signal should be a lot stronger than Broadcom brand.
Perhaps driver problem?

i just bought this laptop,when i check the warranty status it says my warranty start on 9-11-2012 and end on 8-11-2013 but what i was told by a seller it is 2years warranty.

I play with those softwares for a few times now but everything looks alright
