As mentioned earlier by other lyn member, all SCB savings account have free IBG and IBFT. I am looking for a saving account for free IBG & IBFT, online banking and only e statement only without the need for cash withdrawal or debit card etc. I am also not interested if there is annual fee or debit card fee for the account.
Looking at the types of savings account, looks like the following would meet my needs, but i have questions on the following:
1) e$aver
a) No minimum deposit to open
b) No service fee
c) interest rate of 0.25% p.a. on all balances
*No other info on what is the required deposit monthly to be maintained in order not to get charged
e$aver account is no longer on sale as far as I know. Those still have this account can continue to use it. The original interest rate for this account back in year 2007 was 2.50% with 8% cash back on petrol purchases with the e$aver debit MasterCard. Now I really regret closing this account a few years back.
Standard Chartered Bank has this habit of coming with a really good product to lure people into applying it and then slowly taking away almost everything from you. This can be clearly seen with the e$aver account, then the JustOne Titanium Credit Card and now this JustOne Personal/Preferred/Priority account.

They force me to pay debit annual fees even I open for basic savings account
May be you can first complain to SCB. If they insist there is debit card annual fee for this type of account, you can escalate this case to BNM.
