Shell MDS is recruiting now. Look for their job ads at Jobstreet for technician post. Whoever from Instep for graduate programme got brighter chances...

Hi wanna ask regarding internship. Better with petronas or nippon oil? As what my friend told me, intern at petronas, he didnt learn much. Thats y i'm looking for small company as they only take 2 or 3 person for each department.
Or petronas case, the brand itself will improve our resume. They said. |

Thats y i'm looking for small company as they only take 2 or 3 person for each department. I had my internship with Petronas Carigali miri for 8 months in 2011. From my point of view, it really depends on which department you're attached in. I didnt learn much from my department, but they also allow you to be attached to different department for a certain period like 2 weeks, 1 month. This allow you to grasp knowledge from various disciplines. Or petronas case, the brand itself will improve our resume. They said. I can't say much about Nippon though, but it is also operating company like petronas, but smaller. I believe their working culture is different. Policies might be different too. For example, petronas doesnt allow interns to go offshore. I believe Nippon does allow such thing. Try asking Nippon yourself |

Unless you are permanent, they will not send you to Bosiet. If you choose Nippon Oil, you might have the chance to go to rig. Nippon Oil at the moment is the only operator operates land rig. You don't need Bosiet to go to land rig. Going to the rig is the best way to learn about drilling.I can't say much about Nippon though, but it is also operating company like petronas, but smaller. Thats y i'm looking for small company as they only take 2 or 3 person for each department. Just go to petronas even if they give you to do admin job you can still learn by watching, talking to others and build youre network there...Or petronas case, the brand itself will improve our resume. They said. Most of oil and gas project come from petronas so if youre have a network there you have an advantage when working plus they have a lot of division just go around and ask what are their job scope, what they do, what kind of software they are using....same goes to other company as well. In my place intern only can join purchasing, planning and internal sales but doesn't mean they can't come to engineering guy and ask what they do.... |

I did my internship in Petronas MLNG for three months with the hope of securing a job in a oil and gas company. However upon graaduating im still jobless. I eventually realize that without a good connection you will not go far, so take the opportunity to get to know more people during internship

Hi all, i recently got a call from baker hughes telling me that i've been shorlisted for employment. But before they can give me an official offer letter, they have to do a back ground check on me which will be done by red flag screening or C6. Usually, how long will this screening process takes? Anyone here experienced it before?
