it's quite unusual to see any post regarding on PETRONAS research and what is they've been doing since the company was established years ago. anyone kind to share on this information? what is the differences between PETRONAS research and PETRONAS carigali? what is the career path while being an engineer for PETRONAS research compared to PETRONAS carigali?

I have reached a crossroad here in my career. Has anyone here progressed from being a 3rd party hand into Drilling Engineer and then Drilling Supervisor? If yes then what are the steps needed?

I know one man from Petronas who worked his way up as a painter to a Dril Sup if the news encourages you.

That's was like 20 yrs ago..it's already hard to climb the ladder without a proper academic qualification, but you know in O&G anything can happen if you are strong and determined enough.

Not just O&G in everything u do...if u determine enough, u will succeed...

I started my career in Petronas research and was there for 7 years.

if you are a cost control engineer in a project, your job is to periodically monitor the cost incurred during the project duration so that it is within the project budget. you are required to prepare cost summaries periodically; weekly or monthly, for the project.
