Hello,
sorry for a noob question
this is 1st time i travel with Air Asia, i mean i take air plane...
i have booked air ticket to krabi next month on the 20th...
i just wanted to know how i check in? ( i dont have iphone )
as i booked using visa card, and i get the confirmation number... do i need to print out? or just take the number to counter and that's it?
*
U can do your check in through http://checkin.airasia.com/chkin/step1.asp...ang=EN&langId=1
It is vry convenient and save a lot of time to cue in front of the check in counter in LCCT.
U can do your check in online starting from 7 days upon your departure date until 4 hours before departure.
After u check in through web, u must printed out the boarding pass.
If u got any luggage to check in, u can go to the baggage drop off counter, u may ask the information counter to know which counter to drop off.
Erm, after u pay, it will have a itinerary for the flight ticket.
U can printed it out on the spot or juz check your email, airasia will send the itinerary to your email add.

Are snack foods allowed on the plane? Like when u have kids, they snack alot, and it does keep them from being noisy sometimes smile.gif So would i be able to bring my own snack and put them my hand carry luggage?
*
Yup, snacks and sweets are allowed to bring along in your hand carry luggage for international flight and domestic flight although airlines always said no outside foods are allowed
Those flight attendance will jz tidak peduli
But those airlines have free snacks onboard except for those low cost carrier airlines like airasia lar.
For airasia, u have to buy it on your own expenses

hi i would like to know is my camera bagpack consider cabin luggage if i am travelling wit air asia?is that mean if i carry my camera backpack i need to check in my baggage to cargo?
*

QUOTE(stimix @ Apr 27 2011, 06:19 PM)
Normally the rules said 1 bahg only but they abit liberal when comes to notebook + a cabin luggage lor..Meaning they will allowed 2-lah from my experience.
*

The general rule AFAIK is 1 cabin baggage + ( 1 small handbag or 1 small backpack or a briefcase or a laptop bag). src: CX Cabin Baggage
So if the camera bagpack looks like a standard school back pack should be ok.

I bought two set of e-ticket one for local flight Kuantan-KLIA return using MAS (bought from MAS online) and another set KLIA-HK return(bought with Cathay Pacific). Can I checked in my bag for all sectors in Kuantan?

I'm not sure.
I did travel Penang --> KLIA using MAS and then KLIA --> HKG --> LAX using CX previously, and could checked in my bags at Penang that goes all the way to LAX, but this was a ticket arranged from an agent who knew my final destination is LAX.

oh ok, i think your case might be better than me because your ticket is arranged as a whole journey. I bought online separately because the cheapest to buy is through the airline website rather than do the whole booking at agent like expedia etc

I have about 5 hours to re-check in luggage in KLIA but if could save more time it will be great. someone said so long it is within 24 hours they can do

Usually hotels only ask for these cc info.

Card Holder Name
Credit Card No
Expiry Date

They won't need the CVC #.

I know my question is quite subjective, how you guys estimate how much money to change to the overseas currency? Because over change might cause lost when need to change back to RM

Yeah really subjective.. Depending on where you go.

Just estimate the food & transport per day there _ how much you willing to spend on souvenmirs & etc and you hv a good idea already

Hi, I went into UK immigration website to check what are the items prohibited but still confused, especially on what medications/OTC that I can bring along. As I don't like scrambling around looking for pharmacy in foreign countries when I got sick, I prefer to bring my own medications. Are these allowed into France and UK?

Teck Aun pils (for food poisoning)
Minyak Cap Kapak
Activefast/Paracetamol
Actal for gastric
Fybogel (the packaging says made in UK, actually).
Sevensea Cod Liver Oil (supplement that doctor recommended to me as I'm prone to flu, packaging says made in Great Britain).

I had bring all these to Korea and SE Asia countries before without problem.

From my experience, all these are fine if it's not in huge quantities.

For Teck Aun pills - not sure coz it's chinese medication. Not sure how the immigration will react to that when they see it.

Wah, bring so much medicine... are you prone to getting sick easily? Poor you!

For flu hor, you can always buy redoxon (vitamin c soluble in water). When you feel like the flu is coming, faster take 1 glass lor!

As long as it's 100ml and below. Please remember to put in those clear ziplock plastic bag. I think LCCT no longer provide this bag.

Err, I usually estimate like 1k in their currency (EUR1k or GBP1k or USD1k for respective countries). Like JYP, i usually bring Yen100,00. But this is for max 8 days only and inclusive of food, transportation, admissions to attractions. Shopping + accomodation are not included.

thanks. Maybe I'll consider asking for lomotil from doctor instead for food poisoning. I get sick a lot especially after flights. So these are basically my imust haves when travel. Is redoxon passable for the custom check?

Yes redoxon is OTC product. I bring it whenever I travel, even to Aus - super strict but they never said anything.

I've never experienced this before whenever I travel with my laptop (domestically nor internationally).

i went to newyork with a stopover at stockholm arlanda.. atleast half the passengers had laptop.. they dont have time to check your laptop 1 by 1.. the only way they would check it if you are pulled away to a closed security room because you are suspected as a terrorist.. by that time, a pirated OS is the least of your concerns.. tongue.gif

Need urgent advice. I just bought a nasal spray from Guardian and after open the package just realized it's an aerosol bottle. I need nasal spray because the last time I was on flight, my nose seriously dry and hurt. Can I bring the nasal spray onto plane?
