if off the shelf drugs & 10 pills no need..

yes 100ml liquid restriction is strictly followed..
they will ask you to place it in a bin before boarding if found on you at the security checkpoint..

check in luggage no restriction.. i had a shoe bag full of toiletries and all was intact when i arrived at my destination..

went i went to US last yer.. i couldnt sleep on the long haul flights.. of 23 hours of flight time, i only managed 4 hours of sleep so imagine walking up to the homeland security checkpoint looking dead tired, very worried and tensed all at the same time! (plus i am a malay) luckily the homeland officer selected another malay guy infront of me for a more thorough security check by whisking him away to a private room! phewww... if it were me put in a room, i wouldve looked like an agitated terrorist and put in a holding cell until my boss came all the way from PA to newark airpot to bail me out.. biggrin.gif

i carried on board some panadols and cough drops with no problem..
for liquid form medicine, you'll still need to follow the general 100ml rule..

as for check in luggage.. as long as the medicine is legit and is not a banned substance, there shouldnt be a problem.. when i went to the states, my doc gave me lots of flu, fever and panadol pills.. i brought along additional medicines too and manage to fill a small pouch with lots of tablets and liquid medicine.. no problem encountered when entering the states..

no they dont check.. there's just to many ppl queuing up to be checked.. u just need to get the laptop out of the bag n place it in a separate bin to be scanned by the xray machine.. thats all..
unless they pull u aside for further security check in a room, then maybe they might check the contents of your laptop.. at this point, if you have a blueprint to make a bomb or porn in your laptop, you should be worried.. tongue.gif
pirated software, downloaded mp3s and movies should not be a cause of concern unless they really2 wanna nail u with something and send u back..

they wont care lerr.. there's just too many ppl to search.. alot of ppl bring laptops these days.. they will only scrutiny until what file u have on your laptop if you are a suspected terrorist.. and they wont care about pirated ebooks unless its about making bombs.. tongue.gif

do not exceed 32kg.. most airlines are super strict on this.. they will ask you to open the bag and leave some stuff behind either consider burn or u post it back or u buy another bag and put it in n u are charged additional bag.. my family just returned from euro trip a few months back.. they learned the 32kg rule the hard way.. had to fork additional rm600 for 3rd extra bag to put stuff that exceeds 32kg on the 1st 2 bags..

for carry on.. its strict too.. only 2 allowed max.. laptop bag consider 1.. hand bag or what ever luggage consider 1.. u bring more, they will ask u to stuff it in either the laptop bag or luggage carry on or check in and pay more $$$$...

summary:
for international flights
- 2 bags check in max 32kg each..
- 2 carry on max 7kg each

you have been warned.. sweat.gif

Hi all , I have one question in mind which is will custom check on laptop software if it is genuine or not? As I heard before ppl end up been caught using a pirated window os
*
i went to newyork with a stopover at stockholm arlanda.. atleast half the passengers had laptop.. they dont have time to check your laptop 1 by 1.. the only way they would check it if you are pulled away to a closed security room because you are suspected as a terrorist.. by that time, a pirated OS is the least of your concerns.. tongue.gif
