but depend on the review given by other ppl, it is said that it is a very good monitor. just the panel not that good.

Yep, because it is just using normal TN panel, which don't have good viewing angle.
If you don't need HDMI port like me, you can opt for the U2312HM which uses IPS panel.

Want to get the Dell one. Should I pair it with the additional speaker which can hook underneath the monitor? Is it worth?
*

im dell soundbar user (silver body blue lite) integrating well under screen
make sure ur monitor got 12V power output

it use multiple 1" driver which suprisingly satisfy for me.
can beat off SG morron usb 5v those entry speaker

beside got 2 headphone jack +back can connect subwoofer out (need seperate amp)

I need HDMI port because i want to use it to play PS3. So the graphic will be more nicer than my current one? I am currently using 21.5 inch LCD monitor and the setup is using HDMI convert to DVI port because my current LCD monitor don't have HDMI port.

If you already have the HDMI to DVI converter then you should go for the IPS screen.
Worth it if you like to play games while laying down or you are not facing the screen straight up.
I get the ST2320L because it is cheaper and I am lazy to get the converter.

I don stand or lying when playing games. I sit straight up and i don want to go IPS screen because it is very expensive compare to the normal one. I think ST2320L is a good deal because it is Full HD and got HDMI port and also LED.

I was checking on the Dell website and found DellTM UltraSharp U2713HM 27" Monitor with LED priced at 1799 as compared to the older at DellTM U2711 priced at 2099... the new 2713 is a budget model of 27" IPS or a new model to replace the old one?

I have the 2312, while the color is a major step up from my previous BenQ hd2400, the black level is a major step down. Dark areas, depending on the setting, is either too bright or too dark - hard to get optimal shadows in dark areas. Not so nice for atmospheric rpg games where lightning and shadows are important features. You can get by it but it depends on your tolerance for such things.

I have some bleeding on the bottom left but i've gotten used to it.

Other than that, it's quite a decent lcd for gaming but you may want to look at alternatives if things like black level is important to you.

im using AOC..aoc e2243fw2k. not bad for a tn panel, high contrast ratio.. if u play fast paced game like crysis2, mw3, mw2, u will love the feel, vibrant colours due to 2ms & 50m contrast ratio biggrin.gif

Totally new model, and it won't supersede the U2711, it's of different league.
U2713HM probably has the same panel as the U2312HM and U2412M, it just got bigger display and it come with USB 3.0 Hub, added 1 HDMI which is a great plus, definitely a good addition for entry 27" IPS monitor. thumbup.gif
But, will still need to wait for professional reviews regards few points, such as back light bleed, true pixel response time, input lag and viewing angles. wink.gif
