I have 1 question, now the Samsung 32" LED tv only costs only around rm900, why do u guys still opt for Led monitor ya? Any advantages of monitor over tv ?
*
If you compare the size, Dell 30" monitor has higher resolution than TV.

1440 x 900..

Your 9600GT will display resolution higher than 1920x1080 iinm because I have 9500GT and it can display those resolution with no problem. But, since you're running high resolution, it may affect your gaming experience.

are tv pixels sharper and brighter ?

Added on August 26, 2012, 8:38 pm1 more question, if I buy a good full Hd monitor and connect to old laptops, windows xp., will the monitor display full Hd quality ?
*
Yes it will, IF your OLD laptop's graphic adapter supports full HD resolution.

Hey Guys, stuck between LG IPS277L, Dell S2740L and AOC 2757M,
I know that Dell is absurdly glossy, saw reviews online and videos on it, i dont find it that disturbing...but right opposite my PC(Monitors) is a wide open window... I do have my doubts about getting it.

Any advice on this?
*
Which one out of these three will be more reliable?

Anyone here bought Dell U2913WM?

Guys, which one of these 2 is more worth buying? Dell S2340L or Ultrasharp U2312HM?

I will use it mostly doing work, surfing and watching movie. Less gaming now.

QUOTE(ferzeq @ Feb 7 2013, 11:13 AM)
my opinion for all rounder usage is the U2312hm cause of its connectivity (vga, dvi, hdmi n usb), so i think this model is more practical to use wit of course pc then other device like bluray player or gaming console ..

i own the S2340L which i bought specially to couple wit ps3, gaming n watch 1080p movie n to me it has a great picture quality,, i mean i dont even hav to change any settings cuz default preset mode is already can produce beautiful picture ( to my eyes la haha ). Cons. if u ask me ; its the glossy screen and this glossy thing is really not for everyone, some love it n some hate it.
*
I've just noticed that U2312HM doesn't have HDMI port.

Hdmi is not exactly the best port for input, though u can always buy a converter at a cheap price.
*
After some research and reading on the net, I found out that HDMI is just a DVI with audio. So I think I will stick to U2412HM with DVI cable.

what color configuration and setting u all using for DELL2312HM

i know can download some color profile, etc

im using 50 BRIGHTNESS 55 CONTRAST

corect ratio?
*
I'm using everything default.

QUOTE(chocobo7770 @ Feb 9 2013, 09:48 PM)
Depends on the user though...  IMO, 1440p would be too much for some people since not everyone has an uber powerful GPU to drive games at 1440p.  1440p is much more GPU intensive than 1080p.
*
Not everyone into gaming though. Some might buy it for editing use. But yeah, editing at that resolution require quite some juice also.

got some money to spare and wanted to buy another display.
current monitor setup is 2 x 24" 1080p.
thinking to add another 24" for eyeinfinity gaming or just buy a 30" 1600p and sell one 24".
or mayb setup into a 24-30-24 ?
any recommendation?
*
It is depend on what you're going to do with your monitors.

If I were you I will take a new 30" monitor. Because screen size and resolution matters to me.

40% gaming 40% web surfing, research 20% watching movies/clips (some T-ara MVs too  brows.gif  brows.gif )
guess i will go for 24-30-24, then decide if i should sell one 24" if it is unnecessary
*
Maximum 1080p only. sad.gif

I seldom game, but I do a lot of web development and editing work. So 3 monitors is not necessary for me, but I prefer huge screen with high resolution.

matte better under any environment

glossy youll have to carefully adjust its location so that it doesnt reflect light directly to your eyes. that will makes your eyes more fatigued and its bad for your eyesight too
*
Second that. If there's matte option, go for matte instead of glossy.
