Quite good, for that budget i have to say.

And yea, no problem there. Can upgrade to any better 1155 socket Intel CPU, add RAM, or upgrade GPU or add HDD; any time you want later on.

I used i3 2100 about a year..and it is just for gaming, nothing else..the rig served me very well..nothing goes wrong n everything was smooth as silk.. thumbup.gif

1155 socket will give you a lot of future upgrading options : i5,i7 or even Xeon.. wink.gif

Bottom line,go for chocobo7779's suggested parts n I believe you won't regret wink.gif

Greetings,
I would like to seek for sifu's advise.

I plan to get a gaming rig with the budget of 2k or less. After doing some research here and there, this is my build:

Intel i3 2120 - RM365
Asus B75-M - RM240
Kingston 4GB - RM70
Saphire 7850 OC 2GB - RM760
Seagate 750GB - RM209
LiteOn DVD Writer - RM59
CM Elite 311+ - RM115
Corsair CX500 - RM200

Total: RM2018

Is it worth to take HD7850 OC 2GB?
Is the PSU sufficient for this build?
With this budget, can I get a better gaming build?

Really need advise from sifu here. Thank you. smile.gif

Thank you.

Yeah, i actually plan to get MSI too but I visited a few local shop but they don't stock this mobo. I will try again to look for this mobo. I am from Penang, i got the price from the local computer shop. I saw LinLoong is selling this GPU at RM725, not too much difference, perhaps I can negotiate more with the shop's tauke.

Guys I am considering buying a new com..Budget RM1500+-..The guy at the shop suggested the following:

RM 1104 (w/o HDD)
- I5 3470
- 4gb ddr3
- Standard casing
- Mobo ASUS P8H77
- IF ADD ON: ASUS GT 640 +RM409

Is this a good rig for doing work/ browsing many tabs(min 20 or more) at once plus occasional gaming like Skyrim/diablo3 and such?

Any recommendations on which parts should be improved (or downgraded)?

Considering getting I7 3770 which increases the cost another RM400.

as all the sifus stated before. i5 is good enough for gaming purposes. no need to get i7.

Sorry I haven't gone through the thread yet.

I realise there are many types of i5 processors. Which will suite me more?

What about the other components like graphic cards and such? The shop guy ask me to use the onboard GC instead.

For gaming, any I5 CPU will do. For the GPU, depends solely on your budget, what games are you playing and on what resolution?
