hi guys,

can you guys recommend me a HTPC with a budget of Rm3000.
i just want to use it watch blue ray, high defination movie, listening to songs. i already have a full set of home theater including 65 inch plasma,onkyo ampiflier and 5.1 speakers.this HTPC will be part of my home entertaiment.i personally prefer the silverstone htpc gd06 casing which cost around RM420. other parts need you guys to recommend.

Everything looks good for general use. BTW, Samsung doesn't produce HDD anymore, merge with Seagate iinm. Can opt for WD Blue 500gb.

What is his actual total budget? Maybe can come up with set or so.

2k+-... His fren telling him can lower on the gc as not much use on the game he play..plan for long term usage..so he aso considering i5,if were to lower the gc...

Can opt for WD Blue 500GB RM190 onli , if only playing like dota or custom warcraft 3 maps, no nid GC then, then can either get an i3-3220 or an i5-3450

ok i just want to know is there anyway else i can get a lower power consumption proc/gc? I'm downgrading my rig back to a lower power consumption rig. Current rig if on 24/7 i think will use up around 50 bucks on electric itself
