200 extra, value ram isn't sufficient for normal OCing? I'm just talking about 4.2~ghz here.

which is better for gaming AMD or Intel?

It depends on what are you gonna do? If you're a designer or rendering video then go for AMD which has 8-cores but cost alot cheaper...If for pure gaming then go for intel If both then go for i7  the best

Old rig is giving out. Actually i would've still stick to it at least untill i can fork out a much higher budget but recently it has been suddenly crash out on same games namely sleeping dogs. Game will hang mid way and then it will restart by itself. Really not sure is it a hdd issue or the gc issue. Nonetheless it has been giving out signs that it is time for a new rig already hence 3k budget and even that is still kinda steep for me but i guess i'll try to manage. Thanks in advance for upcoming suggestions .

Reason why many suggest H77 is because has more sata ports for more HDD and SSD.. b75 is only limited with one sata 6gbps port.. Also it has more RAM slots... So the only reason why suggest H77 over B75 is because of future proof... And the difference is very little B75 is priced at RM225+- and H77 at RM299 ... 

so the difference only in terms of storage capacity? no difference in gaming experience right? 

more RAM slots? as i browse both spec of mobo, both showing four RAM slots, and both chipsets support dual-channel RAM.

Nope, only one user, but one monitor to load movie another for gaming. In this case, cpu or gpu more important? Intel Core i5 3470 can handle? tqtq

Was looking into the recommended mobo, and found out H77 boards (GA-Z77-D3H) from Gigabyte has this feature "Lucid Universal MVP Support" where else I don't see that function on the recommended GA-H77-D3H (or do you mean the GA-H77M-D3H instead?). Question now is does that feature actually work and worth paying the extra bucks for it? Most importantly works with any GPU or only the recent ones as I will be reusing my 4870.
