Interested in the VI but not sure if there is any catch. So... i can earn back the SST + no annual fee just by reloading 3K monthly to e-wallet?

I only use my VI for 5X transactions, and limited 3k for eWallet, 3k for Online. The rest of the transactions I shifted to Maybank WE.

Alliannce bank just texted me about my fraud case and mentioned don't need to pay that amount while they investigate. Don't even need to submit dispute form or make police report. Awesome service.

Is shopee wallet consider e-wallet topup? Or have to make purchase instead of topup to earn 8x point?

Topping up shopee wallet will get you 8x TBP already.

ShopeePay remains one of the few (maybe last?) ewallets that do not charge convenience fee to reload with credit card?

You can pay utilities with Lazada as well.

Also not sure if this is known but I was finally able to add Alliance Bank CC into Google Wallet.

Nope. just trying to avoid using the physical card. always got risk of dropping it.

I think the better question would be for dining / grocery counts as x5 or not.

Cause contactless is x1 under alliance VI

You can just pay utilities directly online to get the x8 because it counts as online.

I use that to pay TNB directly. I assume others like unifi, time, maxis is the same. The execptions are usually the government agencies...

Contactless payment at the groceries or restaurants are 5X TBP.

Alliance Bank's policy is the lower rounding when accumulating points.

It will take the 5x Groceries when paying with contactless. U will get 5X, not 1X. I have tested this before with huge groceries amount purchases.
The calculation was made easier especially there's already cap at eWallet and online points that made the TBP looked so little for me to make the groceries / restaurant calculations.

Sorry cannot comment on Google Pay / contactless as I had not tried the prior.

Check the older post. Someone has reported that VI and virtual card will have separate quota for the 3k wallet reload.

So, looks like per cc basis. I have not tried it myself.

one card can get 3k online and 3k ewallet

so if u have visa infinite, visa signature and virtual, u can get (3k+3k) for each card
