QUOTE(lsl640 @ Oct 28 2024, 10:56 AM) Samsung pay integration no more news? Got my new card VI today 12-11-2024 and immediately tested to add to Samsung Pay. Successful. Yet to tap for payment. Update: Managed to tap for RM128.00 at specialist hospital on same day. This post has been edited by svchia78: Nov 12 2024, 04:24 PM

QUOTE(shawnme @ Nov 12 2024, 10:14 PM) In the case of VI, I assume that it's considered as contactless, what did you get? You mean for points earning purpose? Not sure yet as the transaction has yet to be reflected in the transaction history although I can see the credit limit already reduced by the same amount used. Some banks will immediately show the transaction history but Alliance Bank is not one.

Normally when will a card transaction be reflected in your "Transaction History"?
I used my VI card on 12/11/2024 but it still has not been reflected. But the available credit limit has been reduced by the same amount used in the transaction and I also received confirmation SMS soon after the transaction.

If I pay SPayLater with VI should get 8 points lah kan?
Bought a laptop on 11.11 and took the 3-month 0% SPayLater offer. Each month repayment < RM1500.00.
And SPayLater repayable by credit card.
Easily 32K TBP there.

ShopeePay remains one of the few (maybe last?) ewallets that do not charge convenience fee to reload with credit card?

QUOTE(guanteik @ Nov 30 2024, 02:41 PM) Contactless payment at the groceries or restaurants are 5X TBP. More interested to find out Grocery and pay with contactless - whichever point is lower or higher or both? Alliance Bank's policy is the lower rounding when accumulating points.

Has anyone tried paying Shopee with FPX through Alliance online banking and after logging in choosing credit card instead of savings/ current account to complete the payment?
Will TBP be awarded for using credit card through FPX?

QUOTE(adele123 @ Dec 2 2024, 09:33 AM) general rule of thumb, fpx via credit card has no benefits whatsoever across all banks. if you can even fpx with credit card. for credit card usage in shopee, just pay like normal online purchase, dont need to go this roundabout way of using fpx. Having problem receiving OTP from ABMB to effect direct payment using credit card. Hence the discovery of a roundabout way of paying using credit card through FPX. Cannot get it why Malaysian banks, despite pushing so hard to force customers to authorise this and that using their apps, still resort to using SMS OTP to approve credit card transactions.

To ensure payment to SPayLater gets maximum 8 TBP, reload to ShopeePay first (no "convenience fee" anyways) then use ShopeePay to pay SPayLater.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 18 2025, 09:52 PM) I think that's not necessary. Paying with your card directly for SPayLater is already considered online transaction, 8x tbp already and it's seperate from your ewallet RM3k cap Correct me if I'm wrong though. Just based on my experience from previous credit cards, usually paying BNPL is considered online transaction unless got exclusion clause 8TBP only if designated "Online Shopping" like Lazada, Shopee, Zalora, Amazon, Agoda etc. etc. The other 8 TBP will be ewallet reload - ShopeePay being one and without "convenience fee". So, sure way is reload to ShopeePay and then pay to SPayLater. Problem with these points is banks don't itemise which spending gets what point.

QUOTE(ZeneticX @ Apr 18 2025, 10:41 PM) Have you tested this? Because so far all my online transactions including bill payments are getting 8x TBP I am using the reload-to-ShopeePay-then-pay-to-SPayLater very often and the points add-up about there. Even for bills, I will also use the same method instead of directly to the biller/ merchants. I can't even finish the RM3,000.00 limit for 8TBP for ewallet reload as I don't reload to other ewallets than ShopeePay. I will use credit card, cash or bank's duitnow QR function - in that order of preference.

Time to terminate VI then and finally activate the VCC after so many months of incessant pestering though app notifications and email by ABMB.
If I activate VCC then terminate VI, the points accumulated so far carry forward?
