purchase online is the only way.
But i'm amazed by how Beyerdynamic cater their product to different region.

they specifically design a new product for different segment, put their afford and passion into audio industry.

I guess by now my XP3 should have clocked 200 hours of burn-in with mostly vocals and classical music. Volume on normal listening, with 5 min of blank mp3 for every hour of music.

The mid and high settled in better, which is a good sign for chance for improvement with more burn-in.

The bass however I think it wouldn't change. Bass notes that are normally brief still sound like they are lengthen by 0.2 - 0.3 sec.

If I change the burn-in to bass heavy music, will it make the bass tighter?

I doubt it'll change the structure and tuning of the drivers. If it has already reached it's maximum bass potential, it can no longer provide any more bass or any tighter and faster, even if you feed it with tracks bloated by bass. It'll present the music the way it is able to. If you switch back to normal music, then it'll most probably sound just like it was bass wise (and overall). To make a more accurate assessment, listen to your IEM with your usual music, and burn it in with heavy bass music but DO NOT listen to it. So any change you hear will not be because you have conditioned to that particular type of sound.

Any bass enhancements would purely be coincidental, most probably because it hadn't reach its fullest potential before you treated it with bass heavy music.

not really sure on that, it still in an argument stage, some says yes some says no.
But from my personal experience, burn in does affect the sound a lot, but burn in different genre of music able to make the earphone sounded better in that, i wouldnt really go for that.

Yeah burn in definitely does have an effect, but burning it in with an emphasis on a certain frequency range I'd say from logic and experience wouldn't work in making it better at that frequency range, agree with you there.

Yeah, I'm aware also that if the maximum potential of any range have been fully gained from burning in, there's nothing else left to bring out from further burning in sessions.

Personally I have no idea how much bass gain left or how much potential gain XP3 has to start with in terms of bass. That is why I wanted to ask the other owners on their after burn-in bass response.

Do the XP series have ear piercing highs like the Hippo VB?
Wanna try it out in jaben but kinda difficult to travel from my hometown
Looking at the XP3 cuz im not really into bass...having a tight bass will just do instead of rumbling

from all our fellow audiophiles conversation, my assumption is no, not likely the character of beyer to do piercing highs also

My XP3 does has the ear-piercing highs period, that's called the break-in period, just ~30 hours and it'll settle down, after that, the changes is not so significant anymore.
My 250+ hours has been reached yesterday, didn't notice anything much right now, and the details still quite analytical, not sure why though, compare to my AT-CK300M which has good detail trailing such as the clinging sound has some tiny good amount of trails, XP3 still lack of that, if that's because of the V shape sounding then I guess I'll have to live with that.

I'm going for the long shot. After more than a week burning in using the laptop, I decided to hook up the XP3 to an old cassette player and tune in to the radio. Going to leave it on normal listening level for 2 weeks. After that, then I'll think what to do with it.

Anyone else thinks XP3 could use a volume amplifier? When I plugged it into the cassette player and was adjusting the volume, I found it can easily output at way higher volume than my laptop and handphone.

Maybe your cassette player has higher output power? When I reached the 180-hour mark, I auditioned the XP2 and feels the XP2 has higher volume than my XP3, not too sure what happen but it does, good luck with your burn-in.

Not all factory ear-bud suits all people, I use one of my Galaxy Note's stock ear-bud and it fit perfectly but the metal housing does hurt my ear if I tend to use it more than an hour, probably will try the double-flange and see if helps (reduce bass and increase mid-treble).

double flange able to expand the staging, extend the decay of the bass, not too sure on mid and treble.
