Hi

Applied for shell position last year but withdrawn application after successful interview (did not attend SRD)

Would appreciate if anyone could suggest:-

How long i needed to wait for applying again?
Would my previous successful interview helps in anyway?

Look forward to useful suggestion.

Any kind souls willing to share on the economic benefits of working with Shell? I mean apart from the high salary, what else does Shell offer?

So far I know of the following:-
-1/6th of basic salary for West Malaysians working in the East
-RM 350 transport allowance
-RM 1500 accommodation allowance
-1 time pay-off of RM3500 for settling down in the East (West Malaysians only)

What about the yearly bonus? And there are rumours of a Shell credit card to employees? How many percent is the usual yearly increment? Any help with housing or car loans?
Thanks, to any kind souls willing to share!

There are some parts which are wrongly interpreted..
The w. msians only part isn't true
credit card? yes but... only for business use (strictly)

all i can say is that this is one of the top paying company in msia

increment is not bad...

HI guys, normally i see people applying for Technical stuffs like IT etc.
Also, theie career website, from what i see normally hire IT people as well.

So my question is, do they hire people that graduated from Marketing, Business Adminstration because normally i do no see any job vacancies for these range of jobs. Anyone working for Shell can clarify this?

Thanks. smile.gif

absolute, yes they hire non technical graduates as well. Get into the SRD and show what you're made of. SRD is a lot about communications and critical thinking.

OK, i am not exactly 'fresh' i would say because i do have some working experience for around one year, give it a plus or minus. Graduated with a Degree in Marketing and currently looking for job in MNC (local or overseas). So i just need to apply via their websites eh? via graduates or with professional. smile.gif

Thanks.

Thanks for telling.

Is Shell constantly looking for non-technical people? So lets say, i've just applied by submitting a general application form, do i need to expect Shell people to call me/sending email or stufff like that?

Added on April 6, 2009, 11:52 pmJust to add something up, any Shell guy want to become the referals? Pls PM me if yes, thanks.

For experience hire, you'll need 3-5 years or more in that field.
For 1 yr exp, apply for grads section

All you can do now is wait for the call

As for referals, for graduate intake it doesn't make any difference

According to shell online application page, you are eligible to apply if you have less then 2 years experience.

By the way these all information including career track for different qualifications are already on shell careers page, honestly speaking your not doing these basic research shows very poorly on:-

Your level of motivation or Ability to comprehend information given or even ability to do a basic research at all. I am wondering how are you going to survive such demanding recruitment process?

Good Luck for your Shell application.

I've just received 2 emails, one asking me to do some online survey, the next one asking me to attend some interview at their Shell House.

So when are you going?

It is standard shell practice to seek participation on online survey (it is not compulsory though), anyway the email inviting for interview is more important.

Good luck for interview.
