ok, now my torrents seem to be back to normal (fingers crossed). but i still cant figure out why i only got max speeds of 350kBps yesterday and the day before..

so it's true then? maxis has started to block trackers? maybe throttling on a case by case basis?

arghh crap spoke too soon.. back to 300kBps speeds

oh this sucks..

i'm getting UDP tracker no response from 4 out of 9 trackers..

funny thing is no matter what the speed seems to be capped at 350kBps max..

anyone know how to get thru this?

normally, old version torrent client don't support udp tracker. what torrent client and what version u use?

i tried using both the latest versions of utorrent and bitcomet. both same results.

am i missing something here?

Is it because the torrent got more leechers than seeders... I'm able to get around 500kB/s max when leechers are a lot and max at 1000kB/s whens seeders are much more than leechers.

Only torrent? Direct download full speed? Last time my torrent and steam download slow, I complaint to skmm, get a report number and Maxis solved the problem in short period.

Why not try those uTorrent 2.x?

I tried 3.x and dont like it at all. They seem to throttle you when you are not sharing as much, from my past experience when using Streamyx.

ok, i'm not at work today, and i'm redownloading the same file from last night.. peer/seed ratio is the same (good, seeds/leeches almost 5:1, same as last night), and..

current speed (less than one minute after starting download) is 1.1 MBps

are maxis starting to throttle at certain times of the day???

i am starting to consider skmm, last few years when i complained about streamyx, it was sorted right away

is it affecting torrent only?
how about direct download from giant company like microsoft.com or cnet.com? is it been throttled during certain period also?

i dont really think is depending on the certain period of time... i guess we may need to know also during the certain time that we are downloading, is that becoz of the bandwidth heavily congested?

this is just my guess reason... perhaps.. sometime we can reach 1.1 MB - 2.5 MB also dependency on the number of the users FTTH downloading at the same time.


How do you think ? perhaps i've least pendidikan xD but just wanna ask whether it is a possibility reason or not lo.

downloading from major sites that have local servers (microsoft, youtube) seem fine to me.. international downloads have never been great anyway for me so i dunno..

i don't think it's related to bandwidth congestion, as the capped speed of 350kBps is quite telling

-dload some file from tpb
-direct dload from ms dload center

Yes and direct download getting full 1.xMB/s Now 4.30pm i try torrent back to 1.xMB/s

I check my utorrent tracker all on :80 showing Failure: Connection timed out.

My max speed when torrenting is 1.1MB/s only XD
