QUOTE(polarzbearz @ Aug 21 2012, 09:04 AM) Well yeah, I used my mobile internet to post here during downtime. So it's still possible for us to post / reply here, just not as instantaneous. Yeah I'm facing the problem as well... Only faced the problem recently... Called Maxis and scold them regarding the matter and was given a case number. Currently the only way work for me is to restart the router completely. Manual disconnect and reconnect does not work for me as it will not be able to connect.... Kinda frustrated especially when people on computer wanted to play steam games and this happen... Yup. Called them and put on hold for almost 15 minutes, somebody picked up the call, on hold for another 10 minutes again. The problem is tho, my PUBLIC ip got reverted (accidentally or intentionally) to PRIVATE (home) ip during this process. Lazy to call them up and fix. Sigh. Anyway, information requested by others (area) when I faced the downtime was Area: Bukit Jalil Type: Public IP Internet: Excellent but everyday will face the problem "DNS SERVER UNREACHABLE" - either restart the router entirely; or manually "Disconnect" and "Connect" to solve. Very annoying! Anyone else facing this issue as well? |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Aug 26 2012, 03:39 PM) called maxis regarding the dc issue, gateway not reached and DNS server cant be connected problem. Was given answer that is TM side problem and they are trying hard to solve it. Currently waiting solution from TM, was given promises by the call person that rebate will be given for the inconvenience. Currently no dc since yesterday calling them (touch wood). This post has been edited by phantasm0110: Aug 26 2012, 05:18 PM |

QUOTE(kari_convention @ Sep 22 2012, 08:23 AM) update: Faced concentrator not reached problem before, my case settled when Cs reset my account from their site. yesterday called them and what they asked me to do is unplug lan cable at LAN 2 port, plug at LAN 1 port and replug back at LAN 2 port. Not working. Then they asked me to call back and they will arrange a technician to call me back but guess what? They never call me back. Damn. Btw, I noticed something. The ONU do not have any problem but everytime I turned off the Thompson RG/router, I can connect to internet but after like 1 minute or so, the connection is lost. and when that happens, both Phone 1 & Phone 2 lights are ON. FYI, I am not connecting my dect phone to the router. Anyone have encounter this problem? If public IP problem, currently still facing it... Showed connected to Internet but when run check connectivity, have error showing gateway not connected problem. Maxis is well aware of this problem and is giving discount on the bill. Try making a mcmc report. |

i found out something particular, when i got disconnected due to public ip issue, when connecting + in the mean time calling 123 to maxis, the connection got connected back easier than connecting without calling to 123 maxis.
maybe just a one time thing or just got lucky. |

QUOTE(alexloon @ Oct 20 2012, 09:27 AM) If you not tight budget, my advice is don't go for Maxis. Not worth for the hassle. got my router change to 799vn as well today.I thought my Maxis fibre finally settle down and should be happy with it after so many issue popping up in a month, this is my second month... new problem still showing up. Now i'm with 799vn with no disconnection since day one 24/7 operation. Add on : One more thing, my torrent and p2p start being throttled download. Different is 80% slower than first month. I seldom torrent and p2p but i do need it once a month or twice. Source for testing - Highest Seed and on top speed condition on speedtest with cable and 3 days continuously test. P2P now is worst than my old 1mb streamyx. cant say no dc yet, caused only up for approx 10 hour since the new router arrived. torrent speed seem to be fluctuated around 0.5 - 1.0 mbps. still need to be improve.... |

QUOTE(eric84cool @ Oct 21 2012, 12:08 AM) if u have outstanding case open with maxis, then call them, tell them the router got problem, keep dc and restart itself. request the router which you wanted. if everything goes well, should be replace without any problem. for my case, im facing the router restart itself, make report on thursday night, today change. kinda fast, but i think due to maxis already made appointment with me to do joint speedtest with tm counterpart. when i call them, i told them i want them to bring new router and change. |

QUOTE(calvin_yit @ Dec 21 2012, 11:15 PM) Quick question. I had been using the FTTH for 4 months now. THe line shared by me and my brother. (me ethernet and him wireless). But sometimes i notice under devices connected to wlan, other than my bro's laptop there are a few "unknown" devices. Apa tu? Its normally labelled as Unknown-70-a3-95-ac-3g-45 etc... if ur house no one else is using wifi, most probably "hitchhiker" from your neighbourhood.please change your wifi password to WPA+WPA2 instead of WEP. WEP can be crack easily |
