http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/hardw...r-review-9.htmlAs expected... Weird thing is that the duorb lose to stock cooler at load? Maybe it's because of the reference cooler also got two heatpipes? On my vmodded 3870(vcore 1.59v)
The massive 6 heatpipes on HR03GT is just too sweet. I guess the artic S1 also cannot match its performance. This post has been edited by sukhoi37: Mar 27 2008, 12:31 AM

From my point of view, investing on a WC solution is much better compared to a Thermalright HSF for around RM200. Before this I used to get up to 70C full load and with a Danger Den Maze 4, it doesn't go above 45C

We can't give suggestions to you if you don't tell us the maximum budget you're willing to pay for a 3rd party HSF.

QUOTE(bokbeng @ Mar 31 2008, 02:51 AM) rm200 max utk hs tu Hmm... With that budget, i'd suggest you get Arctic Cooling S1 Rev. 2. It's the best for your budget. Please don't misunderstand, i'm not promoting the item that i'm selling, this is the real fact since that's the best HSF that fits with your budget.

QUOTE(akachester @ Mar 31 2008, 04:27 PM) Whats the difference between the S1 Rev 1 and 2? More graphic cards compatibility? ya, more GC compatibility... IIRC, rev. 2 can support 8800GT, 9600GT, etc... whereas rev. 1 cant.

@akachester
To be more precise, the base plat height has changed, Rev.1 base is further away from the fins while Rev.2 is closer.
So four rubber washer is needed to fill the gap when installing the cooler on Rev.2 ...
Thermal sticker on the Ramsink of Rev.2 is better than Rev.1 which would easily fall off upon initial installation.
