Yesterday, i've been loitering around lowyat plaza waiting for Uglyvamp to start his BBS6, and i go around LYP and stop by at SRI Computers and i saw a Zalman VF900 CU Led...

This is the GPU cooler i'm talking about:
user posted image

Before this, i thought that that GPU cooler will be much bigger and heavier than it's elder brother VF700 CU... sweat.gif

Man, i was amaze by the size and the weight!!! drool.gif

It's much smaller, thinner, and lighter than the VF700 CU!!! wub.gif

But, don't know how does it perform though...

Anyone here have compared the performance of a VF700 CU and a VF900 CU? drool.gif

Yeah thats right, i'm using VF900 now bought from Sri Comp and u know what, the VF700Cu is cheaper than VF700AlCu coz they have put wrong price tag biggrin.gif , so go and get it.

My GC is 6800GS, stock cooler temp idle 52C/ load 75C, with VF900 the temp is idle 42C/ load 59C only... nice cooler. rclxms.gif
*
Stock Cooler at 52 and after change to VF900 is 42?
Nice temps u got there... thumbup.gif

Wish i had the money to buy it... cry.gif

Hope that i'll get some budget to get that VF900... wub.gif

Anyway...

Going offtopic here:

All the best dude.... i am still waiting for HR-03... Silence is my priority
*
Heh, for sure HR-03 can easily beat VF900..

But, at what price?

What's the market price of VF900 CU Led and market price of HR-03?

If the price range is not much of a difference, it's better if i buy HR-03... wub.gif

Anyone knows the market price of a VF900 CU Led and the price of HR-03 from RLHH?

RLHH, can give us some guide on the price? brows.gif

ok, it's been a while..

ermm..since i had a 7950GT, i just wondering which cooler is suitable for my gc?
my budget, for now is rm100..and probably slightly higher..
*
RM100... sweat.gif

That's kinda hard to get a good cooler for you're gc, unless if you're talking about PCCooler heatsinks...

But it's hard to find PCCooler heatsink anywhere in malaysia... sweat.gif

so extreme... 100% need those steel bracket to act a back bone for the card else the board will crack due to the weight it need to support.
VF900CU costs around RM170 (PC Zone) and RM165 (Sri Computer).
*
It's not the problem of cracking the board, it's about the GPU die, the die can crack easily, and with some wrong steps, he'll get a dead graphic card... shakehead.gif

Well, just ordered one unit of HR-03, let's see how well does HR-03 beat my stupid Accelero X2 laugh.gif

I believe the HR-03 will beat the X2 easily even without any fan attached on the HR-03... laugh.gif

haih bro.. kesian le.. some people did take quite a long time to imagine something..  laugh.gif
btw, nice mod. and cheap, too.
two thumbs up thumbup.gif

HR-03 is quite out of my budget..
there's someone selling his sytrin kuformula v1 plus in garage sales..
i'm thinking of getting it, but 1st, how do u think of its' performance?
anyone has tried it? and, will it suit my 7950GT?
*
Why bother getting something that is RM135 for a used, and alraedy beaten by a more super powerful heatsink?

Get an HR-03 liao, you add just a little more, which will give you something that is more powerful. furthermore, it's new!

So why bother getting something that is already beaten and 2nd hand thing while you just need to add a little more and you'll get something better and something new. brows.gif

Think about it! laugh.gif

If i were you, i will definitely choose something that is more powerful and cheaper as in new unit...

Why do i say it's cheap?
Because HR-03 is only RM185 for a new unit, while the one u're looking at is RM135 and it's used...

Am i right or what? cool.gif

update:

I've sent an email to Sytrin.
and they replied to me saying that the Kuformula V1 Plus is not compatible with my 7950GT. sweat.gif
*
Then it's time to save some more money, and get an HR-03, the best heatsink, the most powerful vga heatsink, variable fan can be use on it, and the best thing is, it fits nicely on you're 7950GT thumbup.gif

Too bad then .. seems like ur only choice is as recommended by sHawTY...
Yah,,, using it only my X1900XT... normal temperature as following:

Idle:
Voltage Regulator 58c
GPU Core 46c
Temperature Chip 42c
*
Wait...
U're using X1900XT right? sweat.gif
GPU core 46degrees? sweat.gif

IINM, u're using two 120MM fans to cool down the HR-03 right?
Mind to tell me how hot is that X1900XT with the stock heatsink fan? rclxub.gif

stock condition should be something like this ..

Idle:
Voltage Regulator 68c
GPU Core 55c
Temperature Chip 50c

basically it's not the stock condition that worry me but the load condition is ...

temperature shoot up like rocket....
*
Woot!!! drool.gif
Look at those temperature differences, 9degrees better than the stock heatsink...
The HR-03 is proven to be the best of the best!! rclxms.gif

Guys, what are you waiting for, get the superb design of the Thermalright HR-03 thumbup.gif

Look for no other than the Thermalright HR-03 VGA Cooler... smile.gif

Even the Zalman Fatal1ty FS-V9 @ Sytrin Kuformula VF-1 Plus can't beat the performance of the Thermalright HR-03 thumbup.gif

and how about TR V-1 Ultra?? is HR-03 is better than this??
*
As a matter of fact: Yes... wink.gif

V1 - Ultra uses 3 heatpipes, plus, the cooling area is not large compared to HR-03 sweat.gif

HR-03 uses 4 heatpipes, and the cooling area is much much larger compared to V1 Ultra thumbup.gif

Heya guys, I've an ancient 9600 pro lying around mainly because the fan died out. I was wondering if there's any cheap replacement heatsink I could use?

I wanted CM coolviva but sadly not enough clearance. Any other recommendation? No overclocking or whatsoever intended.
