kuformula v1 plus has good compatibility with all the card in general ..

furthermore u could mount any type of fan base on ur preference ...

7950GT follow the standard mounting hole ... so should be no problem ...

on the safe side better check out the installation progress that's done by the review article compared the card installed against ur 7950GT...

people tight on budget mah ... what to do .. .even couple ringgit is alot ....

not everyone has the chance to buy and test hardware frequently ...

that's why i said not everyone could afford extra 10 or 20 ringgit ....

anyway any ATI card owner that kind enough to share their tricks in cooling voltage regulator of ATI X1600/X1800/X1900 cards....

i been having dual 12cm CM UV fan blow toward the entire card to cool of the voltage regulator ..

update:

I've sent an email to Sytrin.
and they replied to me saying that the Kuformula V1 Plus is not compatible with my 7950GT. sweat.gif
*
Too bad then .. seems like ur only choice is as recommended by sHawTY...

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Jan 15 2007, 07:32 AM)
what??? u using HR on that vga card rite? still hot ka?
*
Yah,,, using it only my X1900XT... normal temperature as following:

Idle:
Voltage Regulator 58c
GPU Core 46c
Temperature Chip 42c

Wait...
U're using X1900XT right? sweat.gif
GPU core 46degrees? sweat.gif

IINM, u're using two 120MM fans to cool down the HR-03 right?
Mind to tell me how hot is that X1900XT with the stock heatsink fan? rclxub.gif
*
stock condition should be something like this ..

Idle:
Voltage Regulator 68c
GPU Core 55c
Temperature Chip 50c

basically it's not the stock condition that worry me but the load condition is ...

temperature shoot up like rocket....

actually, those temperatures are not too bad.
i remember mine being higher when i had my 1900XTX at full fan speed
*
if i am not mistaken ... the load temperature is somewhere around before the cooler and dual fan:

Load:
Voltage Regulator 85c
GPU Core 82c
Temperature Chip 65c

Load (HR-03 + dual 12cm fan):
Voltage Regulator 65c
GPU Core 57c
Temperature Chip 47c

hmm ... more and more choices for high end gc ...

looking forward for it as well ...

hope it perform better than accelero X2/X1..

i see.... hopefully my IceQ3 will work as fine as it said smile.gif

*i think that problem can easily solved by putting small piece of plastic in between the mounting and PCB board
*
Basically if u are having silent in concept the IceQ 3 won't do any good ...

the heat sink is good at disspation of heat directly from the case ....

which mean the temperature drop fast once u are off from intensive application ..

however due to the nature of the cooler design .. it just can't handle high stress at low noise... the cooler would spin up really fast and the noise is annoying ... unless ur pc speaker volume is really high to cover the noise..

i have it on my HIS X1900XT and replaced with the TR ..

however even with TR the voltage regulator is an issue as both cooler don't cool off that area much .... therefore i ended up with two 12Cm fan blow toward the ENTIRE card to cover everything.

result .. a bit of noise and cramp case...

choose wise... choose between noise and heat tolerance level...

damn, i was just goin to get a cooler for it, then what cooler that is silently good enough, don't tell those WC kits, prefer to use air cooling...
*
no perfect solution that is especially when using ATI card ... u just can't get a block to cool off those freaking hot temperature regulator....

QUOTE(s[H)
sIkuA,Jan 24 2007, 04:47 PM]TR-03 can already ,fix a good silent fan to it smile.gif no other alternative if u ask me tongue.gif unless u go wc or other higher end cooling
*
Even wc won't do any good on the temperature regulator ... and don't forget WC block also in general does not cool off gpu ram ... so in the end still need a side fan for ram cooling...

QUOTE(lolhalol @ Jan 24 2007, 04:58 PM)
the accelerors can, hr-03, mod a noctua to it. then jsut mount in an open bench
*
Accelero work brilliant for sound level but rather not enough for the core and voltage regulator ....hr-03 doesn't cool off voltage regulator but work very well in cooling off the core....however the cooler quite big in size...

ya i think the same too but problem is AGP8x Nvidia only have 7300GT, 7600GT and 7800GS. none of it come close to x1950pro in term of performance. according to review and feedback i read on the net (x1950pro agp IceQ3), full load temp is around 56-60'C. it sounds ok ok to me.. havent search for x1950pro on third party heatsink yet.
*
Is that temperature for those that doing review with ambient temperature below than MY ???

Then u must think again how hot the card would reaches... thumbup.gif

It would be the best cooler for now .. but technology improve ..

so maybe down to the road in few months time there would be new cooler ...

who knows.. just keep the money since the price of HR also really ain't cheap ..

Thanks for the info. May I know which one is the VRM? Pls see the picture below.

IMO, the only problem with HR-03 is it cant fit alot of cards especially those from AGP8x.
*
The side where there is a piece of copper heat sink lies.... thumbup.gif

which is always hard to cool off due to the placement ... sweat.gif

The reason is most manufacturer would not think that anyone using 7300GT seriously would require an additional after market cooler.....

in most of the aspect u won't need to unless u are using a really restricted airflow case or extreme high OC activity ...

maybe u could try to google the layout of ur 7300GT PCB against other NV card that has same layout to determine whether ur card is supported or not ...

contact them personally and mention the card u are inquiring would be the best ...

since there is possibility that different PCB layout manufactured for the same series ....

do be careful as well when u are using card that is originally PCI-E converted to AGP ... there would be extra chip set ...so u need to put in into consideration as well..

you run the system naked without case all the time ???

anyway .. how's the temperature of the card (Core/Voltage Regulator/ Temperature Chip)...

i am curious whether single 21cm fan is enough for the whole card...

i put dual CM 12 cm fans ...

the fan clip allowed to hold the 12cm fan with just nice .. but it would bent the clip during long run ...

single 12cm fan on HR apply on ATI high end serious is enough sweat.gif

i don't think so ..i am using dual also still need quite amount of fresh air to cool it off..

however more or less it is becoz i am using CM UV fan ..rather than TT blue led ..

i can't bear with the noise .....

yup naked all the time coz it is easy to change hardware

temp full load less than 65c hr-03 stock cooler more than 80c

for me single 12cm good enough ady-naked rig laugh.gif
*
full load less than 65c should be ok with the HR-03..

what about the Voltage regulator ?? when i play COH it could rose up to 91c ...
