My Thermalright HR-03 R600 works perfectly!

anyone had try Evercool turbo 2 to 8600GT...just wanna know... is't fix nicely??? coz 86Gt was not in the completable list...

Just a question for all Thermalright HR03 (Vanilla, Rev A, Plus, etc.) users. Do you mount it BTX or ATX style for your card?
Some people mount it BTX style even though their casing is ATX so that when the fan is attached to the heatsink, the fan blows the RAM heatsinks (and the top part of the card) as well. But problem with this is, the air that is being blown has nowhere to flow except through differentiation in pressure. ATX configuraton enables the air to be pulled away from the heatsink to the end or top of chassis, usually fitted with exhaust fans. Problem with this is, you probably need separate fans like the Vizo Propellar to cool down the top part of the card (where all the chips, caps and RAMs are located). |

I've seen most mount it downward where the fan is used to cool off the entire card from bottom ...

hmm like u said the bottom of the card would be toasty cos lack of cooling approach while the top side depend on the presence of airflow ..
however one golden thumb rule would be active cooling is always better than passive cooling ... |

I think I will touch my hand on HR-03 plus recently to cool down my gc, the stock temp right now are scary at 62C at 100% fan speed... and recommendation which fan is good to fair with this cooler? and pls tell me where to get it too~ |
