QUOTE(akachester @ Feb 21 2007, 11:16 AM) Just got the time to assemble the Zerotherm on my 7300GT and it does look gorgeous.Way bigger than my old stock Galaxy HSF.Didnt have the time to upload the pictures as i am still at my hometown.Will do so when i got back to KL.. Anyway, these are the relative result i got on the Zerotherm.To be honest, i dont really know how to do testing.All of these temperature i got from the Nvidia Ctrl Panel.If any of you wanted more accurate ones, do let me know which program i should use and what i should do..lol... These are the results using Zerotherm GX810 using the supplied silver TIM.Will change to AS5 when i get back to KL : At stock speed (500/1400) : GX810 IDLE - 47c LOAD - 52c Stock HSF IDLE - 53c LOAD - 58c At OC speed (550/1500) : GX810 IDLE - 49c LOAD - 54c Stock HSF IDLE - 56c LOAD - 60c QUOTE(irangan @ Feb 28 2007, 12:13 AM) I posted that before but not really tested it in comparison with the VF900.But way better than my stock even with fan running at half speed.Cant really control the speed of the fan cause this have that thermal controller thing that makes the fan run faster when its hotter....As my 7300GT come with only 2 pin fan connector while the GX810 run on 3 pin, i couldnt force it to run fan at full speed all the time using Nvidia Ctrl Panel... |

Is the cable long enough to plug into the mobo 3pin? Sweet cooler, looks great. Whats the noise level like at full speed?I wonder if you can fix the speed of the fan via fancontroller... Yes, the cable is very long.Roughly about 10cm if i had not mistaken.Well, i never tried it with a fan controller before though.Maybe i would give it a shot after i get myself one.Since i had never push it to full speed yet, i still cant give any oppinion on the noise level but currently, its very silent and you wont hear any noise after you close the side panel.Even with side panel opened, you still hardly hear any noise..Definitely more silent than my Zalman Fatal1ty CPU Cooler for sure...I wonder if you can fix the speed of the fan via fancontroller... |

Thank for The Info bro.
I have this MCW50 VGA WAterblock. But it seems that i have to get an optional Fitting kit in order to use it, which i dunt think is easilt attainable. So i might just look for a Air cooling Heatsink for the VGA. ANy other suggestions ? |

I see that you have another PCI card right below the GC.Maybe you will need to check out the space available to you and make sure that specific cooler is going to fit in nicely..For 6600, i guess Zalman would do the job quite well and is easily available.

QUOTE(zahri @ Feb 28 2007, 11:25 PM) Well, that really depends.I had not tried on any Zalman VGA Cooler before so i cant give any oppinion on that.However, previously, i had heard complaints about Zalman cooler being too big and cause problem especially during SLi/Xfire.Therefore, if your LAN card is right below the GC, there might be some problem in fitting it in.Maybe Zalman user can explain more...If you could find it here, i really thinks the ZEROtherm GX710 could do the job for you at an affordable price.Should be roughly around RM100+.And it had been stated in ZEROtherm site that its built for Xfire/SLI, so i suppose it wont be blocking any PCI slot.. I had posted the result previously.Maybe you could check out in previous pages...If you are budget concerned, i guess the GX710 could do the job for you for roughly around RM100+.But its hard to get ZEROtherm product here.Maybe you could look at bulk order.Are you into hardcore OCing?Mind to share how ur GX810 is performing ? I guess i wud have to stick with Zalman then. Thanks for the feedbacks |

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Mar 1 2007, 10:13 AM) let's all together do some logical thinking ya The bro could move his card down a slot or two, then no need to worry about the size too much ur cooler will not be blocking another vga for SLI/XFire cause if u doing SLI/XFire, there will be a gap (size of two pci slots), go & find a SLI/XFire mobo that places their both PCIE slots side by side, i'm pretty sure that u won't find any & yes, any cooler design for SLI/XFire means the cooler won't blockin the 2nd vga card, but doe the 2nd vga card stand really under the 1st vga card, nope, there will be 2 pci slots under it but if u have a card really under the vga, most third party cooler will block it Ya sli usually got gap between the two pcie16x, so its *generally* safe |

I can see from the photo there he have at least 3 more PCI slot to use, so don't need to worry about the size lor like vey99 say...unless all other PCI slot is faulty then can't help lor...

QUOTE(E-J@1 @ Mar 1 2007, 10:13 AM) let's all together do some logical thinking ya Well, i guess you are right but thats what stated in Zerotherm site. I have heard someone having problem with those big zalman fan that sometimes cause problem during SLI/Crossfire.This is because last time, when i wanted to purchase the 7300GT Zalman fan version, there are 2 types available which is the big zalman fan and a small one.Therefore, i did that assumption myself..lol..ur cooler will not be blocking another vga for SLI/XFire cause if u doing SLI/XFire, there will be a gap (size of two pci slots), go & find a SLI/XFire mobo that places their both PCIE slots side by side, i'm pretty sure that u won't find any & yes, any cooler design for SLI/XFire means the cooler won't blockin the 2nd vga card, but doe the 2nd vga card stand really under the 1st vga card, nope, there will be 2 pci slots under it but if u have a card really under the vga, most third party cooler will block it |

@zahri
ur 6600 is AGP right??? does it have a HSI Bridge chip? if it does...check to make sure ur HSI bridge heatsink is SEPERATE from ur main GPU heatsink. otherwise...ur gonna have a tough time finding a cooler that can fit ur GC. EDIT: btw, i would also recommend the Zalman VF700 heatsink. or u could also try the VF900. but not sure if the VF900 can fit ur card or not This post has been edited by mADmAN: Mar 1 2007, 10:14 PM |
